The raps need to get the tank back on track. What do we do?
- Fire Casey he is not playing along and can't do anything right
- Trade Amir, Lowry and DD, these guys are terrible at tanking
- Start Buycks/Daye/Salmon/Patterson/Hayes

I think we need to start coming to terms with the fact that this team isn't as bad as the other bad teams in the league. Looks like we're on our way to a 9th place finish :cry:

It's starting to look like there are only two options:

1. A complete blow-up of the team to make sure we are bad enough to get a high pick.
2. Ride it out for this year at least with the team we have (more or less).

I didn't think option #1 would be necessary, but the the number of teams potentially tanking is even higher than expected because of injuries (example number one - Chicago); and, several teams that aren't trying to tank are much worse than expected (NY, Brooklyn, ...)

My one criticism of Ujuri so far is that I never liked the 'evaluation period' - I thought he should have done more in the off-season to start down the rebuilding path, but maybe the trades just weren't there. The moves he's made so far have been good ones.

Because of the unusual circumstances coming together for 2014, we might actually be better positioned for a 2015 high pick. After this year the roster will turn over some more, and some of the teams having surprising down years will rebound. But I am not eager to waste another season, and neither are most other Raptor fans. It's frustrating because I don't want to trade guys like Amir and DeRozan but this point it might be a requirement if we want a shot at one of the top guys.
