Is Kemba Walker Allstar worthy?
Assuming the bobcats are in the playoffs at the allstar break, and with the lack of guards playing well in the east, does he deserve a spot?

Not unless his shooting picks up considerably.

He has to be more consistent and raise his field goal percent.
Also average about 6 assists.
He can be an allstar in the next few seasons imo.

As long as the voters aren't limited to members of this board. I can't do it all myself, haha.

He just shot 77% from the field against the Lakers.
Be honest, man. You know if MKG shot 7 of 13 against the Lakers, you'd vote him for MVP. I'm just looking for some consistency here. Kemba's not a world-beater, but he's so underrated on here (by fans of his own team!!! Opposing fans respect his game more! What a travesty

Lol what? He's shooting 38% for the freaking year. I simply said it had to pick up, and it does. If you're looking for consistency you shouldn't be a fan of Walker.

And if you're looking for people to harass and degrade on Twitter, you shouldn't tweet Bonnell. Or anyone for that matter. Just crack a beer and let him be a dick on his own accord.

I stopped tweeting him or even looking at his tweets. They have no substance

If he plays to the level that he was playing last year, then yes. However his shot has been all over the place this year.

Re: Is Kemba Walker Allstar worthy?
Kemba definitely should be in all-star consideration when you consider the lack of competition at PG in the East but he have to overcome some perceptive obstacles as a Bobcat. If we're at least a #5 seed in the playoff picture and he can raise his FG% to at least 43% by late January I want to say yes he will get a shot to the point where he should either be in the game or considered a reasonable snub.

Re: Is Kemba Walker Allstar worthy?
Probably not, I think John Wall makes it tho.
The east doesnt have as many elite pgs as west tho... especially without Drose and Rondo may be out still
Deron Williams- popularity
John Wall
Brandon Jennings- putting up impressive assists
Kemba Walker
Kyrie Irving- guaranteed a spot, because he is most talented and everyone loves him.
Jeff Teague very underrated, but no name recognition
Michael Carter-Williams- seems to have a lot of fans

Teague, Irving, Jennings, and Wall and maybe even MCW are all more deserving than Walker right now

Kyle Lowry is as suitable as Kemba.
They have only lost 1 more game than us and their stats are VERY comparable (maybe even more in favour of Lowry)

Re: Is Kemba Walker Allstar worthy?
Just like what Slam said in the Bobcats vs Lakers GT:
He needs to be consistent first for him to get a look at becoming an all-star. I don't know if it's Clifford's system or it's Walker himself but I like the Kemba last year than this year (so far.)
BigSlam wrote:catch20two wrote:All Star Kemba is back. He need to keep this up and he'll be a top 10 PG without question.
The fact that he can not keep it up from game to game is why he will never be a top 10 PG.

Re: Is Kemba Walker Allstar worthy?
Under Clifford, Kemba is having to learn how to adjust to a more team-oriented offense than he had previously with Dunlap that doesn't feature the ball being in his hands as much. Like he has said recently, it's tough on him being in his 3rd system under a 3rd head coach in his 3rd year. It's not like he's had the chance to develop continuity and chemistry in one particular scheme from one season to the next. I think Kemba will be alright because even after slumping majorly he's still been able to put together a decent catalog to the point where he's not below average like pretty much every other player on the team not named Jefferson. Cut him some slack. He's arguably our best player and definitely our best young player.
I be disappointed in his inefficiency too like everybody else but I can't be but so irate about it as if our other players are playing any better because then I would hate this whole entire team. I hold the other players just as accountable as Kemba to play good every night. He deliver more often than them.

Re: Is Kemba Walker Allstar worthy?
Not yet, but if his teammates were good enough to unload some burden of his shoulders, he might get there. He is both primary ball handler and scorer, which is really a difficult task. Only the best of the best can be consistent in doing that. I don't see any other player in Cats right now, who I can be sure of that can hit open three effortlessly. Maybe Gordon if continues to raise his game. For now, Cats pretty much depend on mr Kemba Walker. And I really like that guy

I hope I'm wrong but I think this season is really going to hurt Kemba's growth. He is at his best breaking down defenses. I really do not like running the offense through McRoberts at all. If this is how we are going to use Kemba, I see his career quickly taking a turn from "Tony Parker land" to "Tyreke Evans land"

As do I. Even though Brandon Jennings is shooting as many bricks as ever (shooting under 40% this season, just like the rest of his career), he's been damn consistent getting assists this year at more than 7 and a half per game.
However, Kemba is still the better player. Jennings might be averaging 3 more assists a game (which is mind-bogglingly bad for Kemba- that will come up over time), but they are scoring IDENTICALLY right now. Exactly 17.1ppg on 39.7% for each of them. The main difference: Jennings averages more than one turnover more per game and is an AWFUL defender, while Kemba is becoming one of the better defenders at his position. Kemba at his best is 500 times the player Jennings is- Kemba just needs to cut down on the number of 4-of-18 games he goes through.
