Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's a bad player per se or that the team isn't better with him; I just HATE the way he plays.

stats rarely tell the story.

If you went by stats it looks like Blake Griffin is close to a Lamarcus or Love when they couldnt be more oceans apart.

Yep.

is it just me BUT i really think Will Bynum does better than him in the PnR (sadly Will, same as Jennings, doesn't know what to do)

Jennings' not too good at creating during PnR situations
when a big comes to set a screen, he'll try a spin or a move or two but he can't turn the corner
he's back to where he's at initially and wastes the shot clock, and now he's on full ISO mode

Jennings VASTLY overrates his offensive capability. I'll be honest--I am a huge sports fan but not a stats junkie; I know the game inside and out but don't follow players. Point being I knew of Jennings before the Pistons got him so it sounded good on the surface, but like I said I absolutely hate his game after having watched him. You hit it right on the head; he f**ks around too long then goes into ISO mode where he sucks. That always leads to that heaved up floater.

Let's hope Jenning's erratic landing doesn't put him on the same career path that Redd is on now.

I can't believe people are actually commenting on how an NBA player shoots. Critiquing shot selection is fine, but how he actually shoots the ball? Im mindblown. Cuz the last time I checked none here are named Ganon Baker/ Micah Lancaster.

Some people need to stop acting like Demi-Gods behind the pc. At the end of the day, Jennings is paid millions for shooting that ball, while some are self proclaimed experts just wasting time and energy on the realgm boards.

What im saying is, Shot form is not topic worthy, while shot selection is, and I'm sure we already have a different thread for that.

Lol "Self-proclaimed expert." If it makes you feel better to say that go ahead. The only problem I have with Jennings is his utterly team defeating defense. His shot just looks like its going to get somebody hurt is all I'm saying.

I'd much prefer Chucky Atkins be out they running the point and chucking up shots rather than Jennings. Sad statement.

Return to Detroit Pistons
