Danny, no! Don't waste your picks and Jeff Green on that guy.

The Boston Celtics.
The advice offered us Sunday was stern: Keep an eye on Boston. The Celtics possess two players in different salary ranges that would presumably fit in useful ways next to Dwight Howard: Jeff Green and Brandon Bass. The Celts also have a spare first-round draft pick or two to plug into any trade equation to sweeten the deal for Houston, amid rising suspicions around the league that Morey’s Rockets are going to find a way to come out of the Asik saga with at least one future first.
The same Rockets who happen to have a GM (Morey) and coach (Kevin McHale) who have longstanding relationships with Celts president Danny Ainge.
So, yes, I’d say you should keep an eye on Boston.

Hmmm, I don't see green and a pick as something Danny would do unless there is something nice besides Asik coming back in a three team deal. Bass, Lee and 2015 lesser pick i could see.

Ah, geez... Green might work as a stretch 4 for them, though.
Bass, Bogans, Clippers pick is as high as I want to go on that. Wonder if we would get Hawes in a 3-way with Philly in a different trade?

Re: Omer Asik Trade
I cant imagine that Bass would be that tempting for Houston.. but any deal revolving around him for Asik is a no brainer
maybe we can use the Clippers pick? not likely to be that great and bite us like a Nets one might
talk of a wing defender being key in Houstons asking price.. Bradley?
Who knows, but not surprised to see us mentioned.. expect this right up til the deadline

Green and a 1 sounds too steep.
Salaries a bit confusing. Green for Asik straight up is a fit. Bass complicates it, since Bass + Brooks would mean we take in more salary than we're giving out. No no for us on the repeater tax front.
Houston can afford to take in more salary than they send out, so that's the direction in which to look for deals.
Asik alone isn't enough to balance Bass/Bogans or Bass/Lee under the new CBA, but it's close; Ronny Brewer, for example, should be enough for them to add to get it done.

Houston already has an SG. They need either a swingman or a combo guard, and Bradley is neither.
Meanwhile, Bass has built up a strong reputation defending combo/stretch forwards.

Bradley defending the better guard, while Harden handles most of the ball handling I think would actually work quite well..
I really like the Bass/Lee/Clips '15 idea.. dont know that it would be the highest bid, but it'd be worth a try

Re: Omer Asik Trade
I would think that Boston is the only team that is willing to include a 1st round pick so that is likely going to help in any conversation and as this conversation goes along Bass/Bogans and the Clippers pick make more and more sense. The Green trade doesn't really make sense to me, if we are dealing Green it shouldn't be in a win now deal.
The Sixers have an interest in not making the postseason the next two years they can get out of the 1st they owe Miami. They are not going to include a draft choice in the deal they are more than likely going to look to turn Asik around before the deadline for a draft pick.

Green to HOU, Asik to PHI, stuff to BOS? Remember Philly has their and New Orleans' firsts this year, which could both be late lottery..

Hey guys, Rockets fan here.
Not really buying the Green and Bass report. Seems like Stein only threw out there because of their salary. Bass is a fine player, but about as close to an anti-Morey player as it gets. Don't think the Rockets value Green quite as highly as the Celtics do either.
I can buy however that there may be a deal that works for both teams and I do think the Rockets would be very much interested in Bradley as a 3rd guard off the bench and possibly their starter down the road, if he can improve his 3-point shooting.

Phillys pick is locked up...lottery protected to Miami, but they do have New Orleans pick which could be OK, there is also Evan Turner or Spencer Hawes which could interest Ainge I guess.

Re: Omer Asik Trade
Us actually being in for Asik makes me think Danny is trying to turn this ship around very fast, no? Bass and fodder for him would make us pretty comfortably a 4-6 seed with Rondo returning as his old self.
What's the next move to get that elite offensive star? I sadly keep coming back to freaking Melo, even though I know the Knicks would never give up on a dead end situation and our match isn't the best.

Bass is anti-Morey how? Which is to say, what's a Morey player?

Boston is the only team that is willing to give up a pick. I am interested to hear why Bass is an anti Morey player. The problem with Bradley for a team like HOU is that he is an RFA next season and has already turned down a 4 year 24 mil offer.

Morey loves PFs that have 3-point range and are able to handle it and create off the drrible and push it up the floor after grabbing rebounds.
Morey doesn't like PFs, or really any players, that excel at taking mid-range jumpers.
