then it's a pointless exercise. what this team needs to do is what's best for everyone. he'd love to be in la, he'd like it even better if he got to play with paul. trade him to the clippers. add tyson to the deal if it meant sweetening the deal for them in keeping blake out west in den. get new york's pick back.


tank the rest of the season. tank in 2014. sign the best players you can in 2015, and odds are you won't have to worry about that 2016. you may even have one of the better young teams in the league who haven't began to scratch the surface while the likes of bron paul melo durant duke it out.

Wait a minute…there is one Jarebko in the NBA and he is with the Pistons…my team. You are saying JR Smith for Jarebko? Lets see…Detroit has Jennings, Stuckey, Billups, KCP, Bynum, and Siva. Yes, Detroit needs perimeter shooting but not hot and cold JR Smith. When he is cold he stays cold for much too long. Detroit needs a productive, consistent shooting guard or small forward and the Knicks has nothing to offer unless it Tim Hardaway JR and I know he isn’t going anywhere.

Depends if they plan on trying to keep Stuckey and I haven't see enough of KCP to comment on his future at the 2. Let Stuckey walk, trade Monroe and Bynum/KCP for your starting 2 guard and have Smith as your 6th man! Doooooooooo it. Plus J Smoove, Smith and Jennings all on the same team? Thats a dream come true.

The writer proposed a trade by January 15. Again, Detroit needs consistent production from the perimeter. If they are not getting that I don’t see them giving up salary cap space for JR Smith who has been known for his streaky production. One game he can fill it up and then the next two or three he can’t hit the broad side of a barn. Pistons has to consider the fact that they are going to have to pay Monroe next season; that’s about $10-$15 mil or they may sign and trade him or Josh for a proven SF or SG.
