This is only Dragic's 6th season. Stats for his 5th and 6th seasons below:

19.1 PPG 2.6 turnovers 1.2 steals 6.1 assists 3.0 rebounds 49% field goal 38% from 3
14.7 PPG 2.8 turnovers 1.6 steals 7.4 assists 3.1 rebounds 44% field goal 31% from 3

Steve Nash stats for his 5th and 6th seasons:

17.9 PPG 2.8 turnovers .6 steals 7.7 assists 3.1 rebounds 48% field goal 45% from 3
15.6 PPG 2.9 turnovers 1.0 steals 7.3 assists 3.2 rebounds 48% field goal 40% from 3

Pretty darn similar. And Dragic seems to keep improving. We need to keep him.

Ring_Wanted wrote:Our backcourt has been impressive, but considering how loaded the west is, I think if we can settle with just one allstar, but even that will be hard to achieve. Paul, Westbrook and Parker have to make it no matter what, but you also can say that record wise, so far Lillard should be in as the wild card. If the Warriors don't go up in the standings, Curry could watch from home again, and I am afraid that the Suns will get caught in the numbers game too. They are the biggest surprise, but their two best players have the bad luck of being guards in the west, so...

One more thing: if forced to choose between Goran of Bledsoe, I think considering all factors (particularly the team performance with one of them out) you need to go with Dragic, at least so far. In my opinion, of course.

We went 3-3 without Bledsoe, 2-1 without Dragic.

I was not strictly talking about the w/l ratio, but the impressions I got from the games. From what I saw at the moment, Dragic's absence led to a more stagnant game than in Bledsoe's case.

By the way, did you count the two games where Goran left against Portland and OKC?

I will personally travel up there and burn the city of Phoenix if they trade Goran.

If Dragic ever does make the allstar team then I'm sure the FO wouldn't mind having an allstar making 8 million bucks on the year.

That said, there's no chance he makes it barring an epic EPIC string of injuries to other western conf guards. Just way too many good guards out there.

Ah wishful thinking probably. We'll see how where we are at ASW. The Phoenix Suns story is gaining momentum and if we keep it up and GSW continues to falter, a Suns player may get a second look.

But with the way Curry's playing (24/9), it'll be a tough sell, no matter where we are on the ladder.
