Porter+Maynor+Singleton for Ersan. Ersan's played pretty poorly this year, but he's had a long track record as an excellent stretch big.

I don't think the Bucks could get a better offer than that.

Giving up Porter this early is his career would be a tough pill to swallow, but its a "win now" move I think I could get behind because Ersan seems like an excellent fit for this team for multiple reasons.

First it gives the Wizards the ability to put out a potentially explosive and efficient offensive unit on the floor. Wall, Beal, Webster, Ersan, Gortat combines three amazingly good three-point shooters with a player who has proven to be one of the best in getting the ball to open shooters. Also, Gortat adds a much needed wrinkle to the offensive with his ability to screen a roll. Second, adding a third quality big to the rotation allows the Wizards to better control Nene's minutes and improves bench scoring. Third, the final year of his contract is only partially guaranteed for $400 thousand, giving the Wiz one more expiring contract for the summer of Durant.

Apparently the Bobcats really want to make the playoffs this season and are open to trading MKG for some win-now help. I would be all for trading Ariza for MKG straight up or even throwing in Porter if they won't do that.

Really ?

Throwing in Porter :o

Not sure what you are thinking but Porter is worth more then a throw in. He has only played like 20 total minutes after recently starting his season after a hip injury.. You can't just throw him in based on 20 minutes of production. Its not like he has been Bennett.

Wizards can get more then MKG for Trevor A and Otto. Come on.

The Bobcats have enough talent to make it without trading MKG (who I still really like). They have that Gordon expiring.

What would you propose trading to get him? Portland seems relatively set in their rotation and are using him a decent amount.

Cavs fan here. Would you guys part with one of your small forwards for Jarrett Jack.

What about the Wiz trying to do something like Ariza + Satoransky's draft rights for Jeremy Lin?

Houston has been looking for a wing defender and Ariza would bring that plus fit into their 'shoot the 3' mentality. The only issue on with this part would be are they wiling to have Ariza return. Sato in all likelihood won't come over here after we maxed out Wall, but he could consider coming over for another team / give Morey another asset to work with.

With Ariza gone, Martell would need to become a starter, but Lin would immediately improve our bench. I think with the roster we have now, Lin's ball handling would work wonders for bench players like Otto, GRJR, and Book / Ves. Also, Lin could play 25- 30 mins a game and cut Wall and Beal's minutes down to a level where we won't be running them into the ground.

Jeremy Lin is a starting point guard, and he is not going to want to be holding Wall's jock. He is an attack-the-basket point guard, not a shooting guard, so he would not be able to spell Bradley Beal. It's a nice idea in theory -- add Good Player A and improve the bench -- but the particulars of this Good Player A make it impractical.

Given Jack's age and contract, I don't think he is worth Ariza or Webster (or Porter).

I'll give you Singleton + Eric Maynor though. :D

There's also the issue of his contract. Lin isn't really that desirable of a commodity when he is due a $15M balloon payment next year. His cap number is only $8M, but that still hurts in the wallet.

:eek1:

So you just gave away Wall for Isaiah Thomas and filler? Why would we possibly consider this?

I realize Isaiah Thomas is having a breakout year statistically, but Sacramento is still 7-16 so I'm not buying it. His actual impact is clearly less than his numbers.

Why dont we just bring Satoransky over instead of trading his rights?

Guarantee he is better than Maynor

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Guarantee he's too slow to play the point in the NBA.

Put it this way, Sato makes Maynor look like a young Kevin Porter.

Changing the subject (awww), should the Wiz make a run at Faried? He's playing 24 minutes a game and taking a lot of criticism for his defense (and his defensive on/off numbers are terrible). Still, his PER is over 19, he remains a tremendous rebounder, and he's an efficient scorer (though one that lacks shooting range). I get the impression Denver is looking to trade him before his rookie contract runs out (after next season).

Yes, they should. As a low-minute starter, Faried faces just about the toughest competition possible.
