That looks very refreshing but let's hope we don't slack off or else we will wind up getting slapped in the face.

Not about our opponent, as we have proven in the past 2 nights rather completely about how we play.

I see us going 8 and 6. I have a bad feeling against the western conference teams. I can see Utah, Memphis, Phoenix, and Houston beating us. I also think a couple more losses sprinkled in.

Houston will be tough, I'm not sure we can beat them. And I actually see Phoenix giving us some problems, mostly due to Bledsoe.

At least Stuckey vs Harden is looking closer :lol: , albeit still pretty one sided.

my real prediction

@ BOS W
v CHA W
v HOU L
@ CLE W
@ORL L
@ WAS L
v WAS W
v MEM L
@ NY W
@TOR W
@PHI W
v PHX L
v UTH W
@ WAS W

i think thats pretty realistic. but usually they lose a game or two i peg them to win (probably one in that stretch between NY and PHI all on the road) so i guess they'll win 7 or 8 of the next 14. which is on par for what they look like , a 500 team

To be honest I'm quite impressed with Mo Cheeks and how he's getting his players to adjust to his gameplan... for at least 3.5 quarters of basketball per night. They are playing better and better, and it seems to be more than just good game/bad game, but concrete changes in how they play. So if the trend continues I say they win at least 11 or 12 out of 14

You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.

Yeah im about with you. 7 or 8 seems about right barring a line-up move or trade.

Hopefully we don't pull a Lions and lose the majority of our easiest stretch of games.

I'm traveling back to Michigan for the holidays and will be at the game against Houston. Pistons were 3-0 last year when I attended, so you can book that one as a win.

That's why you never look at the schedule to predict wins/losses.

People who thought Pittsburgh and Baltimore would be easy wins just because they got off to slow starts were being foolish. We're talking about the defending SB champs and a team with a 2x SB winning QB.

And of course you can't predict 8 inches of snow in the Philly game by looking at the schedule either.lol

The Tampa game should've been a win, but these other teams are good teams. Even next week, the Giants are having a bad year, but its not like Manning (2x SB champ as well) isn't capable of winning on any given sunday still.

So the Lions' record should probably be better than it is, and they are good enough to have beaten some of these teams, but this second half schedule was no cakewalk either like fans/media made it out to be. Nor should people have ever said the Lions should've had the division wrapped up already. When you haven't won a division in 20 years, I don't know why anyone would all of a sudden say they should have it wrapped up by week 14 lol. Especially when most of those people predicted they wouldn't even make the playoffs before the year.

They still have a good chance though, in my opinion, because I don't think its any guarantee that the Bears got into Philly and beat the Eagles, or GB beats a hot Pittsburgh team without Rodgers. very possible both teams lose, and if we beat the Giants, its like this whole past weekend never happened and we are back in first place.

I don't think anyone expected any of DET/CHI/GB would win out the remaining 3 games. So just because we lost the first game and they won, doesn't mean Chicago or Green Bay is automatically going to win their remaining two games as well, and we are automatically going to lose both of ours. Still games left to be played.

football is a way more random sport than basketball. In basketball there's so many possessions and only 5 players on the court at a time. Usually the team with the best talent and strategy execution wins. Football one big play can change a game, and bad execution can make superior talent useless.
