Oladipo's a freak. Can't say I've truly studied his game in the pros, but he's got a lot more potential than simply a backup - that much I can attest to.
Isn't defense half the game, so isn't KCP the best defender in the draft so far? The offense stats and ability to create highlights takes too much of a precedence. I don't have that active of an imagination, but I can see KCP hitting more of his open threes and midrange shots alone as he builds more experience and execution. Ten years from now, I can't imagine he'll have been the sexy redo draft pick, but I can easily see him following Affalo's career arc. He's pretty good.
From what I have seen, both MCW and Oladipo have shown Elite Defense, thus it is hard to judge who is the best defensive player yet. But, I can say one thing when I watched the double overtime MCW vs Oladipo game which was freaking epic is that MCW and Oladipo have incredible athletic ability. They both can do crazy things on the way to the hoop. Thus, it will be exciting what happens with all this youth if and how they improve over the years including KCP.
