Something like -

Houston trades Asik and filler
Houston receives Bass and Stuckey

Boston trades Bass, Lee and First round pick*
Boston receives Asik and Datome

Detroit trades Stuckey and Datome
Detroit receives Lee and First round pick*

*First round pick would have to be in the 2014 draft

Looks good all ways round but Houston wants a first any offer for Asik. I can't see that deal flying.

A first is likely swapped for Asik plus a filler role player

LOL at all the MORONS on the main board screaming that Asik would get them a premier player in a trade

LMFAO at Morey thinking he can get anything of decent value for a malcontent like Asik

Bass and LEE??? That trash is a good deal for Rockets? That pick Boston gives up wont amount to anything of value for a team like Houston that is looking to win a championship not rebuild

To think, Rockets could have had Anderson starting next to Dwight.

Josh Smith or Greg Monroe are leaps and bounds better than a combo of Bass and Lee. In fact Stuckey as an expiring deal and playing the best basketball of his career is about 100x better than Lee and isnt under contract for two more years after this one.

Asik had the last laugh. He got paid by Morey to start, was lied to and wasnt traded before they signed Dwight (shades of Dumars trading for Iverson and signing Rip), and destroyed his own trade value in the process screwing over the guy that lied to him in the first place Morey. LETS GO!

Just curious, how did Morey lie to Asik?

There was an article I read that Morey was looking to rebuild and have Asik as part of that rebuild for the future. He sold Asik on it and that's how mostly he came down to Houston besides the fact that Chicago couldn't match.

I think that Josh Smith, Monroe, or Stuckey could all potentially help Houston. But Detroit doesn't need Asik, so it would have to be a three way trade (as other have mentioned).

And I 100% agree that Dumars should be on the phone trying to get in on this action. There is a realistic chance to impove the Pistons.

Not to debate but I'm not seeing how that's a lie. Unless he specifically told him I want you to be my STARTING center for years and play 35 mpg and I won't be looking to upgrade at your position. Morey was actively trying to trade for Dwight even before he signed Asik. That's kinda the equivalent of bringing in Chauncey after giving Chucky Atkins a long term deal. You always look to upgrade your team and players should know this.

Looks like Asik doesn't quite have the value that Houston thought. Pretty funny. Now they need to try to integrate him back into the lineup? Good luck with that.

What I heard was that he promised Asik the starting role for years to come then promptly signed Howard the next year.

And to the guy who said Rondo to Houston and Green to Detroit in return for Siva and Asik, are you high? That's a miserable trade for the Celtics unless they're getting draft picks out their ass in return.
