I still think at the end of the day Asik is in Boston, TYoung in Houston and expirings and pick or picks to Philly

Asik is a better rebounding version of Kendrick Perkins. No thanks.

A better version of Perk at his best? How is that bad?
It's bad when we are giving up two rotation players plus a #1 pick (possibly a 2014 pick according to reports) for a better rebounding version of Perkins.
Bass takes away minutes from Sully and KO at the 4 while Lee is almost gonna get DNP's as soon as Rondo returns. Plus they both have a 2 and 3 year contract going. I really don't see why we would not settle for a deal like this.

You know who is enjoying us not getting Asik more than anyone right now?

Do we have to get Richardson? Ugh.
No. We can easily remove Richardson, Lee, the Miami's and Keith Bogans or Bass from the deal. My whole thought process was sweetening up the deal for Philly allowing them to get one expiring, one big man, Bass and a first while getting rid of Richardson. It would also be a way for us to fit Lee into the trade.
I see them have zero interest in Bass. I think straight expirings and pick(s) would be the ticket with Philly these days. Bass might help them win 2-3 games they have no interest in winning.
That's true. But whatever it is that they need or want we have it for them as long as they cough up Thaddeus and get us Asik. I'm sure Danny wouldn't mind giving away Bogans instead of Bass anyway. Bass is well worth his salary IMO.

It's funny because I checked Woj's Twitter and saw that the tweet wasn't there and was wondering if Woj deleted it.

Agree. Getting rid of those two is probably not much of a loss. I don't want to lose a '14 draft pick though.

I started to reply and saw "tinypic.com". My first response to shake my first and curse at the sky. Then I couldn't control the giggles.
Of course, the last part may be a side of effect of my herbal supplements

Let's hope so, lol.
Maybe flushing a 7-footer on a plane isn't the best idea. Could end up depressurizing the cabin or exploding the septic tank.

Re: Omer Asik Trade
Maybe he was unable to flush? I mean, I have had an Irish Wolfhound and a Jack Russell Terrier. The Wolfhound had turds as big as the terrier, it seemed. I would imagine if you are as a big as Asik, you might need to tag out on that one and have a low-level staffer take over plunging duties.

Re: Omer Asik Trade
That's it!
The reason that Morey wants to trade Asik is that on top of his hefty $15M outlay in 2014-15, they also have to keep replacing the septic tank on the team plane. I would imagine that gets pretty costly with 41 road games, not including playoffs.

Man, I can't imagine what would've happened had the creators of LOST stumbled across this tweet prior to stumbling into season 4 and beyond... oh the possibilities.
