The Rocket's potential under this coaching regime is 2nd round playoffs max.

This team lacks a leader...on and off the court.
Harden has the tools...but I don't think he has the mentality. I KNOW for a fact that DH doesn't have that alpha mentality, but this team doesn't need that from him to succeed. DH has really been the only consistent player this entire season. He goes out and does his job...but you can see the frustration he has with Harden. He was horrible today...took way too many bad shots when Howard was actually doing very well in the post.

I'm with you. Growing pains.

I'm a broken record.
Dwight is easily the best player. Dwight has the tools to lead, all the guys respond well to him. Currently it appears Parsons & Bev are the leaders, but they are not the leaders this team need.
Everything must beginning with Dwight.
Dwight will get there.

Parsons has been consistent for the most part as well. It's sad when the other 2 "impact players" Howard and Parsons have good games but we still get trounced. Just goes to show how reliant this team is on one guy.
The 1st couple of games last year where Harden scored 30+ points was a wolf in sheep's clothing imo, he's been given the superstar treatment since. I can understand them leaning on him last year but this year when we have so many weapons there's no excuse to let him free-wheel like this and revolve the team around him.

It really starts with Mchale...when you keep giving the green light for Harden to do what he wants, he will do what he wants...until he does, Harden will do what Harden wants.

If Harden keeps going like this, will Howard want to leave Houston? I mean the reason he left Lakers was because Kobe was ball hogging the ball all the time. Harden, it seems like he is heading in the same direction as Kobe minus the defensive effort.

This is our leader.
I understand if he goofs around during the practice but not while the coach is trying to implement a scheme during a game especially as a leader.
The leader/captain should behave as a secondary coach on the court by implementing and regulating behaviors of his followers not distract your chain of command.
I shouldn't be too critical of his behavior over this image but this is what I exactly think of his behavior when Harden is on the court.
Yet the Media and the league think he is a better player than Kobe(I f**king hate Kobe btw but come on!) while McHale and the organization let Harden do what ever he pleases without demanding any repercussion nor accountability from his action as long as Harden gets "superstar" stats with his free reign shot attempts.
Though, I still would give him a benefit of doubt since he still has upside due to his age.
In the mean time Harden sure gonna under utilize his team mates' potential and their growth since he is all about himself as a leader of the Rockets.

The Rockets embarrassed themselves against the Pacers. Let's hope it's just a bad day and they come back against the Pistons.

They respond to him but he's not a leader. He just doesn't have the mentality. Watching him pout over Parsons trying to "steal" a rebound and then just stand there while the opposing team just picked it up and put it back in...no...that's not a leader. And he's not a young guy who will grow into a leadership role.
Plus, with Harden on that team taking every last shot and hogging the ball in every 4th quarter...just not going to happen. Unless he stomps on Harden's head (which I kinda wish he would).
I still think Harden is one of the biggest cancers in the NBA. His overall attitude just sucks. He's got talent, but no heart.
