I agree, he's way to passive for my liking, but if we take things into perspective, Kawhi just isn't that great yet offensively to shoulder bigger loads.
You breakdown every part of his offensive game and they're all average.
For instance, he's clearly an average mid range shooter and he takes a lot of those in P&R situations.
As a slasher, he's got great knack for finishing with contact, but he's a bit lacking in the ball handling department to really get to the rim at will.
He's a great at scoring around the basket, but still very limited in his post moves. This is one area where I think he should work on. With his strength, wingspan, and huge hands, he should be a great post up scorer.
No court vision. He's not a playmaker and likely never will become one. This is probably the hardest area in the game of basketball to work on. Players don't really turn from being a guy with no courtvision/playmaking skills into an elite one.
Even his 3 point shooting, while doing better than anybody projected coming out of college, is considered good/average in this department.
He's still got a lot of work to do before becoming a stronger offensive player.

Disagree with you on the court vision he's really improved his passing and court awarness this year. He's very good at getting into the lane and finding open shooters.
But all and all we're picking apart a 22 year kid with a ton of talent. He'll figure it all eventually.
