The "controversy" is there is any, is that Rodgers feels good and wants to play. Obviously that bone isn't healed yet. When I broke a lot of bones as a kid my doctor always told me it was easier to heal a break than a fracture. The doctors won't clear him if he's in any danger of further hurting that collarbone, even if he isn't in pain. He probably is in pain, just doesn't GAF about it right now with everything on the line.
