I see everyone is still riding the Love Boat....don't you guys know that series was cancelled in the early 80's?! I am willing to bet, we won't make a trade this year and I am fine with that. We have too many young players to develop before we start trying to figure out what we need going forward. Everyone is playing well because of chemistry. If we make the playoffs this year it is just bonus; next year is the year for a real playoff run WITH a better SF.

What if Goodwin gets a better shot next year and we play that Goran, Bled, Goodwin 1,2,3? What if Len is the real deal with Plumlee and the Morri continuing to grow? Why give up all we have plus those picks! We have too much going for us and we can't make a mistake like trading all of our assets for a player not name Lebron or Durant.

Only thing I am willing to trade is Indy's and or Washington's pick with Okafor to bring in a solid 3 or 4. I think Demar would be nice, but we'd probably wait and try for Hayward and then Demar next summer. I really don't believe the Jazz will let him walk, nor will we pay him and Bledsoe max......but we could, and Utah could still match; maybe that is the plan. We get Hayward to play for us or put a huge dent in Utah's pocket like we did with NO.

That doesn't drop Wolves down much at all and fixes their need for a SF..
Pekovic, Faried, Galinari, Martin, Rubio....

One tidbit.

Minny isn't trading Love this season it would be best after the season, but they could wait until next season (big mistake), but if so....We would have the better package because Denver would have used their picks already!!

excellent closing comments....

The Defense rests.......

I'm on the same page. I think most of here are.... I'd like to get better this yr, but dont want to give up any contributing player, and we go 8-9-10 deep. Like you, and apparently McDo, Okafor and a pick I am willing to part with, but I dont think that is going to get us anyone of significance that isnt a short term rental. As far as Hayward goes, I dont know enough about him to thumbnose your hopes. Seems like he is quite sought after around here.

Come June we will have a better feel for what to do, or rather what to guess McDo will Do.

Frank, love ya man, but you & some others posts like you never see Love play. 45 & 19 last night. We have no one on the team that can even sniff that. That's why many of us are riding the "Love boat" as you call it.

Yeah... i know what you are saying, but Capt Stubing isnt pulling up to our dock without a lot of cargo going back.

It just doesnt seem likely. Minnesota isnt just going to be happy just with picks. The Love Boat gets offered up to the league, there will be many trying to set sail (sale).

Would you swap him for a handful of draft picks and some over achieving youngsters ? I wouldnt.

Not without his personal guarantee he'd re-sign with us. If so I'd be willing to offer up any combination of players and picks that does not include Bledsoe, Dragic, Plumlee or Frye, and leaves us with at least one pick in '14 and '15.

I asked the Bulls board if they would be open to Deng/Noah for Okafor/Green/Len/2 2014 1sts. Some seem to believe that now is the time to blow it up and add future assets, and if trading Deng, might as well trade off Noah and just start the rebuild. If we could get Noah for Green/Len/1st i'd do it.

Bledsoe/Dragic/Deng/Frye/Noah Goodwin/Tucker/Morris/Morris/Plumlee

The Bulls will most likely amnesty Boozer and that trade would send us into full rebuild mode, which I don't see happening. But Rose would be 26(?) and we would essentially have quality 5 rookies with Len, Mirocitc, our pick, Charlotte's pick and whatever pick you give us. Anything is possible, but if we threw in Noah I would want at least two picks.

Minn 2014 First (From Suns)

Thabeet

OKC IN:
Boozer
Noah

Plumlee/Thabeet
Ibaka/Markieff/PJ3
Tucker/Marcus
Dragic/Green/Goodwin
Bledsoe/Smith

We now have a huge athletic frontcourt, with shot blocking presences at both PF and C. Ibaka can hit the midrange jumper with ease, and has 3 point range. Also he can run the pick and roll. Surrounding them with shooters, and still with a whole bunch of capspace, we would be contending very soon IMO.

As a Bulls fan, the only thing that would hold me back is the fact that we would have Perkins next season. But I like it enough that I could deal with it.

If Markieff keeps improving he can turn into a really good starter on a championship team.

If Love goes to Houston, Parsons needs to be ours.

If Love comes here, we should trade the twins in 2015 when their value should be higher for a very nice returning package.

This would never happen, but what if Ibaka was sent to Chicago and Mirotic to Phoenix?

A rich amount of assets would need to go OKC's way, but if they keep Lamb, Jackson and Adams while adding Noah, dumping Perkins and getting good role players to make them deeper and more balanced, maybe it could make up for the loss of Ibaka. No Boozer to the Thunder, of course.

The problem with Noah is his health, so if I were a contender, I wouldn't gamble my status on a player whose durability is not good.

But if the Thunder were able to add quality depth, they would be the title favorites after this season.

Chicago could start a new project with Ibaka instead of Mirotic plus the assets not used thanks to Phoenix.

Now, back to reality. Beat LA.

Josh (Mesa, AZ)

What kind of movement do you think the Suns make around the trade deadline? Do they want to sell of more of their veterans or try to make a splash with a big trade?

Chad Ford

Not sure the Suns front office knows what to make of all of this. The plan was to tank. They thought they were fielding a roster that couldn't win. It's not like they are playing a bunch of savvy veterans. Eric Bledsoe is a big part of their future, so he's staying. Think everyone else on the team is available. Dragic is the most likely to go. Here the Kings have some interest there.

Clueless idiot.

Yeah, came to post that thing from Ford myself. I think what he's "hearing" is his own echo.

To be fair, I think the plan was to tank.

But trading Dragic right now? Ridiculous. Most likely to go my ass. Our backcourt is amazing.

How do you know? That's a lofty accusation. What proof do you have that the directive was to lose on purpose?

We should refer to him as Chad Fiord.... because there is a chasm between his thoughts and what truly is happening here.

I will welcome a trade outlined by Carey with his 'keepers'. I have surprisingly grown fond of the group of kids who are playing their nuts off, but realize to get someone like Love, some quality talent has to be exchanged. Nobody is going to give up their star player just for mid picks, no matter how strong this draft is. And I doubt we swap out our 'potential stars in the making'.

Minny does not have to do anything till the off season with Love. If they fail this yr, they get their own lotto pick. If they make the playoffs and get bounced early (likely) then they can regroup and decide on draft day / when the lotto balls fall. Thing is, there is no more Kahn there, and I would think Adelman has significant input to assure his tenure. Its all up to them, unless of course, Love says TRADE ME FOR GAWD SAKES.

Whatever happens, draft day is going to be like Christmas to us who have endured the ghost from the draft-mas past.

I think he's too good of a guy & teammate to go to management and request one. Which is a shame because they've done a worse job surrounding him with talent than Cleveland did with Lebron.
