Underrated opinion but they are better on both ends of the floor with Dragic on the court and Bledsoe off compared to when they play together and you can always depend on Sarver to be a cheapskate.

True. But I could see Sarver paying him to spite us. He only sent Nash to us because he felt like he owed Nash (or it was a master plan lol). I don't think Sarver wanted to be as successful as they have been this year. But now that they are and that suns fans are going to games now, I feel that he likely matches any contract offered. We should take the entire off-season to offer insane contract offers to restricted free agents to get teams to match to allow us to dominate free agents.

On a side note I have a feeling Deron Williams be available at the deadline. I know he has appeared out of shape and has played like crap but I wonder if Kobe could get him to re-dedicate himself to the game. I think Deron could thrive next to Kobe. With the nets being over the cap I wonder if the Nets would entertain Pau's expiring contract.

I'd rather facilitate him to Houston if Brooklyn wants Pau.

Brooklyn: Pau
Lakers: Asik + Lin
Houston: Deron

I don't see why Brooklyn won't just do Asik + Lin for Deron themselves. Lin > Deron by himself right now.

I feel like everyone is dogging Deron. Yeah he is playing like crap right now but I feel like he is out of shape and has no real direction or passion playing for Jason Kidd. Don't you think Deron would push himself with Kobe and in LA? We may be able to get Deron for cheap. Deron's IQ > Lin. I like Lin and he has increased his shooting touch. But I think we are really underselling Deron. He has been garbage this year thus far. But I am not sure that is because of his weight/lack of real direction from his coach.

Even if Deron proves to be 80% of what he previously was, it doesn't fill the needs in our frontcourt and quite frankly even in his prime he was prone to suck against terrible defenders like Fisher in crucial stretches of games. He's in no shape or form to challenge someone like Westbrook or Parker/Lillard on a daily basis.

This is the most obvious improvement we need to make. We are last in the league in points allowed in the paint, which is a major red flag for any NBA roster and what little offense & facilitating Pau is providing doesn't mask that for us and we could likely replicate that offense from Kaman at a much cheaper price point.

What we do need is a good rim protecting center that can block shots and trigger the breaks for our athletic guards to finish. It has to be relentlessly swinging the ball for an open 3, creating pick and roll mismatches and run the break for high percentage shots.

Just a good defensive center could have added 4 wins to our season already.
