According to Ethan Scolnick, Miami's last loss against the West was the one to Utah where Bosh and Wade got benched in the 4th and LeBron almost led the comeback guarding Big Al on defense and playing point on offense. Wade tweeted after the game "high road isn't always high".

Re: GT: 12/27 Miami at Sacramento 10:00 PM EST
Michael Beasley should ALWAYS get consistent minutes throughout the remainder of this season.
I don't buy any of this minute rationing, trying to get him in the game, the game took a different direction, etc. BS. What was the purpose of signing the kid, stop focking with this guys physique, enough already..
We need to have a consistent line up and stay with, I'm getting a little tired of all this "sacrifice" sh@t, these guys that are here and took less money, deserves a little more respect than is given. I feel Miami waS THE TEAM THAT FOCKED UP MIKES' DEMEANOR anyway......OR AT LEAST AIDED IN IT.
I don't want to hear about this young mans past, if you still have a problem with who he was, then say it, sit and and be done with it. I am so tired of us not taking full advantage of the talent we have AT ALL TIMES..

If there are other guys producing who take away Beasley's minutes, then he's not gonna deserve a single minute out there. He came here on a minimum deal after f***ing up as the number one option with two other teams, if he wants respect, if he wants minutes, if he wants anything he'll have to earn it. The dude has done nothing but be a bust of a number two pick to us. The fact that you believe Miami aided f***ing up Beasley's demeanor shows your flawed line of thinking.
Our organization tried to turn him into a professional but he couldn't live up to it and let the distractions of the city get to him. Saying Miami caused his bad demeanor or even helped him get there is like the alcoholic finding a reason to drink. There was no reason for Beasley to be a head case other than him being weak and not ready to take on the responsibility of being a professional athlete. We gave him minutes, we gave him freedom, he had plenty of guidance, he just couldn't get his act together, that's it.

You are entitled to your opinion, I just disagree....End of story for me - Sounds like he'll forever be on the dog house according to your logic - I don't really want to judge him by BEFORE, if that's the case why bring him back..to just USE HIS TALENT, treat him like a scrub......Again, I just disagree with you.....
in closing, what makes you think he has not earned minutes? when does this 'EARNED MINUTE" BS end? I think you are judging him unfairly AT THIS STAGE....Get off the guys back, allow him to mature(which IMO he has) or leave him alone. PERIOD.

Won't be able to watch the game, hopefully it will be a win, would be really nice to be able to try to break the Celtics record when we meat Portland, it will be a good game, their 3's are gonna kill us, but let's not get ahead of myself, 1st we need to win at SAC.
Please excuse my bad English, this is not my native language

I don't get this whole Beasley thing. Spo says he's earned minutes yet for some reason he can't seem to find minutes for him on the floor. That's just incompetence on the coach's part imo.

I've criticized this coach and don't want to start that again ......BUT, personally my comment was made based on his latest reason/excuse for not playing the kid.
IMO - if you resigned the guy, he should be given a clean, but monitored start. This token "earned minutes" don't set well with ME, nor does the lame excuse given for not playing him against LA. He appears to be our biggest cheerleader on the bench along with Cole .
Personally, I don't think Eric knows how to use talent not named "the big three"
The pacers gives their players consistent minutes, forcing teams to match them. I don't buy this "game to game" sh@t with Mike

Yea I don't buy this earned minutes stuff with Beasley. He went from playing great defense on Milsap to not playing a single minute vs Lakers.
I already said that when Beasley went down with the injury, he'd be back to dwindling minutes when he returned.
The thing is, if he were playing terrible then I'd say he's playing terrible but for the people who defend Spo can't tell me they don't cringe watching the corpse of Haslem and Lewis miss 3s (33 percent, taking WIDE OPEN shots). I just want to see the best players on the floor.

It is a long season, everyone will be cycled in and out of the rotation to keep guys on their toes and keep them ready. We don't know what goes on behind the scenes and I think the prudent thing to do is give Spo the benefit of the doubt. He has earned that.

our role players sans ray allen/cole really need to step it this game. battier/rashard/rio need to start pulling their weight around they have been atrocious as of late. we need them to hit 3s this game more than anything cause we got a doozy tomorrow and cant afford a 40 minute night from lebron + bosh (wade will sit)
also does anyone know the status of the bird for this game, after he took a hard fall vs the lakers he never came back in
FREE BEAS!!

What has he done to get out of the dog house, played well in a coupe of regular season games? Come on man. After all the f***-ups he had in Miami, Minnesota and Phoenix, that's not enough to come in here and demand minutes. He's not some proven veteran, he's a guy looking for a third chance in the league. He had some good spurts, but that's not to say he's gonna do this on a consistent basis.
Aside of that, Spoelstra HAS given him chances but then was just cautious with Beasley's injury and the team was still doing well without him. We have other talent on this roster, we don't need Michael Beasley to be successful.
I trust Spo and the coaching staff to know what they're doing. They see Beasley in practice, they know about his injury and they're much better judges of his progress than any of us. And to say Spoelstra doesn't know how to use talent has gotten old. Cole and Chalmers are prime examples of us managing talent the right way. Beasley received plenty of opportunities here when we drafted him, he just screwed them up himself and has nobody but himself to blame for it.

DWadeno3 - I have no choice but to trust Eric also, and I have given him more credit than I've complained about him(still not a fan), but you are basically proving my concern which goes to my question "why is he STILL in the dog house" for past issues? Who in the funnk want to keep hearing about "what was done before".
I am not arguing AGAINST any coaches decision, none of us has behind the scenes access, well GT3 and a couple of others. I am commenting on what is said in FRONT of the cameras.
Here is my point about Mike. If he can help this team offensively, he should get minutes in every game he's healthy and able to play. His defense is night and day from before.
p.s. I did not read you complete post, just the highlights...Mike has not DEMANDED ANY MINUTES, and by you mentioning Min/Phx - I'd hate for you to be MY coach.....if we resigned him to give him another chance, THEN DAMIT, GIVE HIM another chance..not fair to keep bringing up old sh@t

Re: GT: 12/27 Miami at Sacramento 10:00 PM EST
I laugh at the notion that Beasley hasn't earned anything? But Rashard has? Someone please explain that one to me because every test fails when arguing Lewis > Beasley.
Michael Beasley is averaging 11ppg and 4.2rpg in 17 mins of work? Those numbers put him as one of the best bench players in the NBA and yet it serves as nothing or hasn't earned him anything? Lets take away Beasley out of this conversation and just call him player X. Well, player Y(Rashard Lewis) is doing what exact to earn the minutes ahead of X?
(Y) Rashard Lewis this year? 19mpg 4.4ppg 2.2rpg?
(X) Michael Beasley this year? 17mpg 11ppg 4.2rpg?
I would understand benching Beasley if he wasn't playing well, not playing defense or if someone was out playing him but this year, Beas has earned the right to see the floor over Lewis. Lewis earlier in the year was playing good D and hitting the jumper but its been months since we have seen that Lewis on the court. YET! SpoBot once again, is missing the ball because I'm guessing he doesn't care for Beasley or wants to set an example. This is about WINNING and Beasley gives us a better chance than Rashard Lewis and Udonis Haslem. So please cut the crap about Beas doesn't deserve it. Well Lewis doesn't either. Please also cut the.. Beasley doesn't play D...Watch a game, its superior to Lewis this year... Please also cut the.... Beasley is taking dumb shots...This year hes been great at that and Lewis latley has had alot more of those than anyone not named Chalmers and lastly please cut the...Were teaching Beasley....Beasley saw this off-season that no one wanted him, he came here with out any nothing promised(Even his contract for the year), he doesn't need to be taught crap, he knows. Right now this is a serious case of a Coach who is holding old feeling against a player from the past and not doing what's best for the team. Lucky for this team we have a GREAT TEAM but any other coach who's team didn't have this talent, do this kind of biased coaching, would be called out by any fan base.
SpoBot is coaching like Joel Anthony! Dropping the ball!

I'm not sure how anybody could argue Beasley doesn't deserve minutes when Lewis is playing over him, who doesn't even deserve to be on an NBA roster.

The funny thing is Lewis still plays better then Haslem and Battier this year. Not sure why you make Lewis the example of undeserved playing time.
Based on this year's, on the court only, level of play :
Beasley
Lewis
Battier
Haslem

Too many people are complaining about Beasley getting rotational minutes, in December, after coming back from a hamstring injury. Unless anyone here has direct interactions with the Miami Heat organization, its players, coaches and trainers, they dont know how Beasley feels post workout, practice, or shoot around.
Regardless, the Miami Heat will have a rotation in place come June and Beasley will be a part of it.

Does people realize that at the moment with Beasley on the court, the heat got outscored or not?
If you only watch the column points, of course Beasley deserves to play more minutes than Rashard ! Spo is trying to find the right way to put Beasley on the court by not hurting the team. That game against Atlanta was a great one because he played some good defense and that's encouraging.

For me it's not just the rotational minutes as is. It's the reason Spo gave about Beasley not playing. He basically admitted to incompetence imo by saying Beasley has earned his minutes and he would be in deep thought about getting him in the rotation. It's obvious to anyone watching that Beasley is outperforming other players who are receiving significant minutes on both sides of the floor.

Spoelstra indicates Birdman, Wade and Ray Allen all will sit out tonight. Allen has sore knee.
