Bargs and Prigioni

For

Lin and Canaan

I actually think Rockets would give this one a long look. May improve both clubs.

Either you're overrating Bargnani or underrating Lin. Either way, Pablo stays and Morey laughs.

Trading Melo and/or Chandler should be strongly considered at this point. The question is can we get back the asset we really need (lottery pick in 2014 draft). Seems doubtful that anyone who would trade for either is going to have a lottery pick in next year's draft. We're basically tanking for Denver, awesome

Why would Rockets want to do this?

The last thing Rockets need is someone with worst defense than the bench player who never get to play.

Scoring is not a problem for the Knicks.

The only trade that interest the Rockets is Melo.

The Memphis Grizzlies are active in trade discussions that would add wing athleticism onto the team, according to sources.

The Grizzlies are expected to try to retain Zach Randolph as a free agent, but they are also determined not to lose the veteran power forward for nothing.

The Grizzlies plugged Tayshaun Prince into the small forward position last season after trading Rudy Gay.

NY trades JR Smiff to Memphis for Jon Leuer and Jerryd Bayless.

They were trying to trade Randolph and they're cheap.

JR Spliff + Bargnani for Randolph + Calathes saves them 1.3M and opens up minutes for Ed Davis. They can still add additional contracts if they wanted to.

As long as Bargnani is gone, I'm with this.

but wouldnt this trade be worst than losing Z-Bo for nothing?

Lmfao...us AND the grizzlies are jokes.

Grizzlies got rid of:
Rudy Gay
Xavier Henry
Tony Wroten

and now they want wing athleticism.

We got rid of:
Crawford
Randolph
Gallo
Chandler
Mozgov
Copeland
Novak
Fields
Lin
Nate

now we need talented players

went from Lenny Wilkens to Larry Brown to Isaiah Thomas

now we need a good coach.

This management is a joke. Were not going to win a championship this year with Woody and we don't have a draft pick, no reason in watching anymore games

I don't know how much truth there is to that, a couple weeks ago, it was reported they are just trying to get rid of him and give more minutes to the young bigs because they don't believe they can be contenders with him.

Here's an alternative solution:

Spliff + Bargnani + Shumpert for Randolph + Allen + Calathes + Franklin

That saves them $4,626,636 and gets them a better draft pick this year.

Z-Bo is risky, He's still got gas in the tank but a lot can happen in a year.
Memphis has some young guys in Bayless, Calathes, Leuer, Davis, Koufous and Conley who could give us something to look forward to
The grizzlies are closer to compete mode than tank mode so maybe theyd take Melo, who knows.

If we really want to upgrade, Amare for Deron and Shump/Bargs/?? for Pau.

Deron | Timmy | Melo | Pau | Chandler

Prigs | Smith | Metta | Kenyon | Stat

Trading Amare away would be a big sacrifice for the Knicks. The Knicks is note selling Amare for penny.

Melo doesn't really need "floor spacing" like people think. He gets his points either way and got them in Denver when teams would pack the paint on them all day. Pau and Chandler would work similar to Chandler and Bargs, so not well. But, having two double digit rebounders might make up for the offensive issues.

it sucked with melo, chandler and amar'e clogged the paint, why would this be different

Would you rather the team I posted or the one we have now? And it'd work better because you have a PG to orchestrate the offense and keep everyone involved, and Pau needs half the touches Stat does. It wouldn't be perfect, but you could make it work. Chandler is good for 30 minutes a game to stay fresh, so you play Pau the other 18 minutes, then you only have to stack all three together for 6 to 10 minutes a night.

This year has shown the element of youth taking over the league. Vets still have their place .....yet it also seems performances by players in the middle toward end of career is not bad -it's just being challenged by young minds, talent being coached by experienced coaches.

Somehow being in the middle doesn't translate. Denver & NY are trailing off a bit now because the sum of the parts is middle of the road.

If you were to select a trade for 2010 talent and beyond, who would you bring in to remain competitive? Not even Denver's players, but possibly last year's draft. Going for superstars has its merits ....but look at the Morris bros....they are carving up their competition with youthful spirit.

I would advocate JR from 2007-08-09 based on his youth at the time really had a chance to get better. Put him up against a number of younger sgs and he's old.

So, who would you bring in for youthful supporting roles if you were to keep a max of 3 older players ie Melo, Kenyon, Tyson.

which team(s) would benefit from having both tyson and bargnani on their roster?

rockets: i don't think tyson would complain if he were to come off the bench behind dwight; bargnani wouldn't get in dwight's way, since he's able to shoot from the perimeter.
