If the Nets have a firesale, who do you want?
I would personally like Blatche to be at the top of that list. KG has looked pretty bad this season, but that whole Brooklyn team has looked bad so you can give him the benefit of the doubt. The corpse of KG is better than Mullens. But, I'm not sure it can work without giving up DJ's contract so..... I dont know.... KG + Blatche for DJ + a pick + filler?
I would say Pierce, but he's looked pretty awful, and his contract is pretty big. We would have to move some weight around for the capspace to work. He's also an expiring so the Nets could probably get some sort of value for him, so it's not worth it for us for multiple reasons.
But yeah, Blatche would be awesome just that I'm sure many other teams would want him due to his contract and what he can produce as a bench big.

No DJ-for-KG deal.

No DJ-for-KG deal.
I'll admit I was one of the vocal proponents of a DJ-for-KG deal even going so far as to make it instead of the Doc acquisition, but it's obvious by now that Stern saved us from making such a blunder. Doc has done a wonderful job in getting DeAndre Jordan to realize some of the potential we've all seen in him lo these years and he can still get better. There's no way I'd revisit that deal at this point. Swapping Jordan for Garnett downgrades the starting center position and I'm still not a fan of Blatche's, who'll ask for a significant raise after the season.
Unless there is a buyout of KG or Paul Pierce, which is very unlikely, the only names I would be interested in are Reggie Evans, Shaun Livingston, and Andrei Kirilenko.

Reggie Evans back.
his only draw back imo is if they go hack a dre or hack a Ev.
i really want K-Mart back if the Knicks have a firesale....dat dere post D....but he doesn't rebound like Reggie Ev
he should be able to get over his gripes with the Clips with a new coach in Doc.
and we'd have the toughest bench....Barnes, Jaxx, K-Mart.

Re: If the Nets have a firesale, who do you want?
KG is done and I mean really really done if you are looking to bring him in as a starter. Think Jordan still is having a great year considering he had a bad scoring night and looked sluggish as the game went on. Even then he had a huge block that led to points that normally would of sealed a win for us. KG contract in a trade would gut the team in a bad way.
As for the Nets if there is a way to help with a KG buyout and he comes here I'm for that off the bench. I would dangle a first for Plumee IF we get KG in a buyout. To secure it I would send our expiring and pick up Jason Terry contract to help them clear cap.
Doc and KG teaching Griffin, Jordan, and Plumee on the clippers would do wonders. So if we could guarantee KG would be bought out and come here and we can get Plumee I'd give up our pick this year plus expiring bigs. Not sure if legal though.
So in end it would be a two part deal but three part agreement-
1.Mullens, Hollins, Green, Jamison, and Wayans plus cash (some of KG buyout) for Jason Terry
2. TPE (Bledsoe) and 2014 first or future pick 1st for Plumee
And
3. KG buyout agreeing to come to Clippers the 1st is for paying the buyout.
We would have to figure out what to do with Terry but overall would have the bigs we want.
Paul/Collision/Terry
Redick/Crawford/Terry
Dudley/Barnes/Jackson
Griffin/Plumee/Garnett/Jackson
Jordan/Garnett/Plumee

No one, well maybe Reggie Evans, but I'd still rather have Odom.

Pierce just so I no longer have to watch Dudley's hot/cold game.

Mullens for Kirilenko.

Not sure if even the Nets GM is that dumb.

Bring Back S Dot
It looks like whatever fire sale that may have been considered is no longer on the table with the Nets' hot start to the new year, however, with Jason Kidd at the helm along with Deron Williams' ailing ankle, it may just be a matter of time before things revert back to form.
In any case, I'd love to bring back Shaun Livingston this coming offseason as a free agent since Collison will undoubtedly opt out to look for more money and playing time elsewhere. However, I get the sense that Shaun still personally resents that the Clippers didn't extend him while he was rehabbing from his infamous injury. Hopefully, Doc and CP3 can talk with him to sell the benefits of bringing him back to the organization.
He may have lost some of his agility and quickness along with not being as good a scorer as Collison, but he'd be a great understudy to Chris Paul who would afford us some versatility in the backcourt, particularly on defense. Drafting a project PG or signing Bobby Brown would round out the roster well for that position.

Friday night at Barclays Center, Livingston had one of the best games of his career.
He finished with 19 points, a career-high 11 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and a huge charge in a career-high 51 minutes, helping the Nets beat the two-time defending champion Miami Heat 104-95 in double overtime.
...
During the Nets’ 5-0 month of January, Livingston is averaging 11.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.2 blocks [assists?], 2.0 steals and 1.2 blocks in 37.6 minutes. The Nets would probably like to conserve his minutes more, but they haven’t been able to because he’s the only healthy point guard they can trust to run the offense and facilitate for his teammates. His defense has also been stellar.

Think we could still get Reggie with the TPE.

I love so many of their players, KG, Pierce, AK, Livingston everyone except Deron. Reggie was great but he really shouldn't be on a contender
