Should have sent this to Doc, damn.

To be fair, there wasn't really a chance to foul without giving them a chance for either three free throws or the and-1.

not true- they could have fouled Aldridge as soon as he caught the ball

Looking at the replay during the telecast, I agreed with Steve Kerr that there really wasn't an opportunity to foul on that play. Maybe I missed it, but with our defensive positioning and their quick inbound of the ball, there didn't seem to be an opportunity to foul without risking free throws or an and-1. However, I do agree with the assertion that Paul should have stepped out before the pass arrived to disrupt the rhythm of the three-point shot.

In any case, Doc is taking the blame for the failure of that play but I think the defensive positioning would have been different to allow for a quicker foul than what was actually used had Doc stuck with his normal game plan of fouling in those situations.

Good game guys, this is one of those games that you deserved to win but somehow the Blazers managed to win out of dumb luck. Anyhow it was quite a game and the Clippers look much better under Doc Rivers than they did under Vinnie Del Negro. This game could've gone any way, I look forward to seeing some good basketball against the clips in our remaining two matchups, obviously neither team is gonna give an inch and its nice to see two teams that truly love the game of basketball! People may not notice enough as they should but the clippers look like a completely different team this season with their coaching change and I think that will be reflected in the playoffs. You guys look like a legitimate contender this season. Best of luck guys, just not against the Blazers.

edit:

sidenote:
I'll take Lamarcus scoring 32 points against us on 31 shots every time.
considering our matchup in OT wasn't favorable...he wasn't that efficient the entire game.

Aldridge was the first player to receive the pass on the inbound- Jordan was right there and should have fouled him. I don't know what Kerr was talking about.

You are correct though in saying that if you don't foul, you guard the 3 with your life. Let them have a 2 if they want. Very bad sequence overall.

We need another big asap! We're just lucky that we haven't had an injury to Blake or DJ yet. We gave up way too many offensive rebounds to the Blazers. I'm wondering if the Nets are down to give up Reggie Evans

I'd be more interested in Blatche though if they have a firesale.

Sucks to lose but seems we gained a ton of respect around the league for the fight. To think emotianlly back to back into OT against top west team. If the plan was to foul players should of been light bear hugging everyone until the ball was in no screen should of broke andy hold on any player. They won't call a foul in that instance.

We just need defense and rebounding breh.. that's just what Reggie Evans gives us. Blatche tries to put up scoring numbers too much and he's looked like sh*t so far this season

K-Mart turned out to be a punk and a hater.
but geez....either one of them would have been awesome tonight...especially k-mart on aldridge.

Reggie would have the same issue as Blake against Aldridge, not enough length to effectively contest Aldridge's fadeaway, so if it is going in, it is going in

I didn't mind KMart, but he left because he wanted to start over DJ, that wasn't going to happen.

KG as a back up would be very ideal. However, he probably makes too much money to be traded for. Also, I don't know if he is banned from joining the Clips as part of the Doc deal

Prob could find a way to land KG. only block is clipps celts making a deal. But KG makes too much for us to aquite him and idk how receptive he would be to a backup roll

Rather we trade and get Reggie Evans back. Or just sign LO
