He kinda like a man child, and sadly it is unlikely he would get it together because he has all the skills and physical ability to be a much player.

Wonder what's the reason though? It'll probably slip out soon.

the game is at 1pm. And the way Bynum has been playing, this gives the cavs a better chance to win.

his trade value is his $12.5 million outgoing contract is only guaranteed for $6 million until Jan 7th. He can be released and save a team a ton of money.

This. It's safe to say any team trading for him at this point will do so for financial purposes only. What a shame :-?

He isn't professional, but it sounds like he just doesn't want to play anymore. I can't fault the man for that. He has serious knee issues, tried to give it a go, but it just won't work for him. Now he could have handled the situation better. My guess is that he told Brown/team management that he is done and just won't show up for games/practice anymore...or that if he does then he won't take it seriously and won't work hard. He just wants that last $6 million.

This opens up time for Tyler Zeller and Tyler is absolutely a better player right now. I have been begging for Brown to put him in for a few weeks now. Zeller should start.

According to shamsports he has no guarantee date the first year.

Andrew Bynum: Signed a two year, $24.79 million contract on July 19th 2013.

First year is $6 million guaranteed with no guarantee date. Second year is fully unguaranteed, becoming guaranteed if not waived on or before 10th July 2014.

Signed via cap room.

???

It was very unlikely that Cleveland would have ever had enough cap-space for LeBron and Bynum. This opens up more cap-space for Cleveland to add a 2nd solid player in addition to 1 max-contract FA.

Bill Simmons ‏@BillSimmons
3 - From what I hear, Bynum wants to end up with Heat or Clips. But he'd have to be released + Cavs want to trade him (see @WindhorstESPN)

That would be interesting.

I do not believe that is correct. I believe that if he is not waived by 1/7 - he is owed 12 million:

Sam Amico ‏@SamAmicoFSO 4m
#Cavs looking to trade Bynum, league sources say. And his contract, which pays him $6 million if he's released by Jan. 7, drawing interest.

Even though this was a low risk move, with all the moves and non success post-Lebron, how much longer does the Cavs gm keep his job?
