Game 12 - Vesely left the Wizards' loss to the Raptors on Friday with a back injury.

Jan Vesely suffered a lower back strain on Friday and is probable to return.

while I'm happy Ariza is back, I still think Webster should be starting. It worked fine last season, at the very least, let Ariza ease back into it.

Also, Porter practicing is great but I was a little taken back by this:

I'm a huge porter fan but kind of disappointed his conditioning is that far back. Hopefully 2-3 weeks and he can be inserted in the rotation. Maybe Singleton can swing us a backup pg coupled with seraphin. :/

Yeah,

I don't agree with the move to put Trevor A as a starter. Sounds like it might be a mandate from above if they are shopping him. Starters are worth more in a trade then back ups.

How is Trevor A starting good news?

The team fits much better with Tell as SF.

Game 8 update or maybe it should be a game 7 update. AH out.

Game 1 - Nene out calf ( two game and running ) - update.... returned
Game 2 - Wall ( back spaz, but he is tough so he returned for game 3 and still playing)
Game 3 - Booker ( dislocated finger )
Game 4 - Nene in
Game 8 - Trevor A out... Popped Hammy MRI (out but not serious)
Game 8 - AH out - He has chronic knee. Had an MRI this week, the results haven't been disclosed.
Game 9 - Ves back strain but able to play next game against NY
Game 13 - Trevor A in returns from hammy injury.
Game 13 - Beal out leg stress injury after playing heavy mins over 11 games
Game 15 - Booker's in first min since dislocated finger
Game 15 - Nene out
Game 16 - Nene In
Game 16 - Singleton in first game of the season returns for foot surgery.
Game 19 - Kevin S out. Soreness in right knee
Game 19 - Otto in, first game returns from hip pointer
Game 19 - Nene out foot. Webster out ankle sprain

Nene - Out ? foot leg/foot/Achilles.
Webster - Out ? ankle felt better Saturday but was still held out of practice
Kevin S - out with sore knee.
Beal - Out stress injury been out since game 13
AH - Out Chronic Knee. No ETA been out since game 8

12/7
Nene wants to take his time with his barrage of injuries (leg/foot/Achilles), the Washington Post reports. "I need to step back and I need to walk away a little bit," Nene said. "I been suffering with this thing, the last few weeks... suffering, playing in pain, that's no fun."

Wait... didn't he rest all summer ?

http://news.rotowire.com/Nene-Hilario-g ... -spnba.htm

So we finally got Singleton and then Otto back but we lose Nene and Webster. Sounds like Webster will be right back at it and not miss the next game. But Nene is shutting it down. Just not sure how he is tradable at this point until after another summer of rest if he can't make it 20 games into a season. We need to make a move to bring in some help. Kevin S isn't going to mature in time and the combo of Ves, Booker, Singleton and AH isn't enough.

One week until trade time.

The thing with Nene is that he has a chronic injury on his feet, that will probably never go away. During last Olympic Games, he was getting injections every day so he could play for Brazil's NT. And I wouldn't rule out the possibility that he is doing the same so he can play for the Wizards (that's why I don't agree when people call him soft or something like that..we are not the ones feeling his pain, also for someone who battled cancer i don't think a minor injury would sit him down).

It's sad that he got to the Wizards a little too late in his career. Right now, he's still one of the best players on this team, but you should not count on him for too many games per season. If the bench players were decent, Wizards could 'protect' his minutes like the Spurs do with Duncan and Ginobili's minutes.

The best scenario would be to trade him for 2 ok players that could at least be included in the rotation.

No it isn't sad. They knew his history, contract and age. Denver fans warned us about this when the trade happened.

So who will start with Nene out ?

My guess is Singleton.

Webster says he may be ready.

Singleton might make the most sense. He will grab rebounds and he has some offense. He has done well stepping in as the starting PF in the past.

Then just a week away before trade likely start to happen.

Booker or Vesely. I don't think Randy will reward Chris for poor shooting percentage in the last game.

Beal to return to practice. ETA next game.

Cheese has a procedure on his knee. Out 4 weeks. Which is fine by me.

Sounds like everyone should be back except Nene and AH.

Horford (shoulder) could be out for the season with a pectoral tear, the same injury that kept him out of 55 games two seasons ago, the Pistons' official site reports. He sustained the injury in Thursday's game against the Cavaliers. (29 minutes ago)

at the risk of tempting fate (Nate did it too re Wall), we're actually doing
a whole lot better than many teams are wrt injuries.

strangely I don't see any threads about us having an awesome medical staff
