Boston for Kris Humphries (+ Courtney Lee?)

Milwaukee for Butler + Pachulia.

Utah for Richard Jefferson.

Philly for Turner + Hawes.

This has to be a joke.

Besides that last trade (which is WAY off), these are closer to his current trade value than what's being posted on the Trade Board right now.

I think in the last trade Cleveland would have to add the sweeteners; on the others, they'd get the sweeteners. Second rounders, late firsts.

Wonder if the Cavs would take Nash for him? Would be nice to get Nash's contract off the books via trading for Bynum & then cutting him before his next season is guaranteed.

Maybe cavs are dumb enough to take joe Johnson and pierce for him. With fillers of course. Maybe try to make a 2nd round run this year.

Perfect example and precedent for modified GUARANTEED contracts - I don't want him anywhere near my team.

You don't seem to understand how much bad blood there is between the Sixers FO, their fans and Bynum. Even the idea of just using him for his expiring deal sickens Sixer fans.

Like you said, the Cavs would have to add sweeteners to that deal.... a lot of them, to get the Sixers listening. Sweeteners like Bennett and picks or Waiters. Probably a lot more than the Cavs want to give up.

Also, teams wouldn't be adding any incentives heading to Cleveland in those other deals. Jefferson, straight up, is about right valuewise for Bynum's non-guaranteed contract. No one is going to give up picks to shave a couple million off their single season salary cap. You're seriously overrating Bynum's trade value if that's the case.

Now, if the Cavs are willing to take on some long-term salary, then you could get a pick along with him. I bet you could pry a pick from the Celtics if you take Gerald Wallace's contract off their hands.

Orlando's moves in dealing Dwight just look better and better. Yeesh.

There were rumblings that Bynum didn't have all that much about basketball in LA; that he was just good at it. It's not surprising that injuries would exacerbate that, if that's the case.

If Cavs handle Bynum the same way they did Baron Davis, forget him going to Mia. Gilbert will pay him to sit over letting him join the Heat.

One problem with this scenario, and it's a long-term problem (or a potential one).

If Gilbert has any shot at LeBron coming back to Cleveland in the future, then it probably isn't in Gilbert's best interests to do things that might indirectly hurt LeBron at this time. Or, at least, things that LeBron might perceive as "unfriendly" towards him at the present moment.

In the past, Gilbert seemed done with LeBron. I'm not sure that's the case any longer. And a LeBron return to Cleveland could be in the cards.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Behind the scenes as well as in front of the cameras.

You didn't even attempt to look at the salaries for that suggestion. JJ and Pierce make over 35 million combined this year. Bynum makes 12.

That can work with some players. With players like Bynum, hell no.

3 - From what I hear, Bynum wants to end up with Heat or Clips. But he'd have to be released + Cavs want to trade him (see @WindhorstESPN)

That would be interesting.

So he's trying to leverage being an utter prick into putting himself in a sunny, winning environment where he'll love playing basketball again? What a prick.

Probably his plan all along. Get the biggest contract he could and then demand a trade

Same for Miami, but 1) I'm not sure how can we get him (in a trade) & 2) I'm not sure Heat want to have a player like him in the locker room...

You don't think these guys are just playing for the love of the game, do you? Especially not someone like Bynum. Who, I think it has been correctly said of, never was exactly in love with the game of basketball in the first place.

There's a lot of Machiavelli going on for players in the league, IMO. In fact, I think it's never been more that way than at present. Everyone wants to win a ring, be a star, start a line of ties, make a Harlem Shake video, all of that.

Or, perhaps in Bynum's case, everyone wants to bowl and go to the Playboy Mansion.

What? I think it's asinine to suggest that LeBron would use that as a reason to not head back to Cleveland. "Oh, you deprived my already stacked team by not releasing Andrew Bynum!" You are really overcomplicating this whole "LeBron back to Cleveland" possibility with that comment. I'm pretty sure Dan Gilbert is aware that his chances of winning LeBron back are slim.

Anyways, as far as Bynum goes, I truly am not surprised. As another poster before me said, he probably planned this all along. What a serious waste of talent.
