I don't know how the pick went down.. Was it just EG/Wiz scouts that thought he could play, or was he touted as a top 5 pick by "all" the NBA talking heads? You have to think being on the Wiz isn't doing him any favors? Alot of it is in his head.. When he plays with confidence he can at least pass as an NBA player, but 90% of the time he looks like he has zero..

It's hard to say. What we know is that they were scouting him for the last 4-5 years, so it wasn't a blind pick. They had seen a lot of Vesely in Europe before he was drafted.

Beal's knee looks good, especially when he's stroking the 3-ball
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Great bounceback by the team tonight. Good job by Whitman in motivating these guys to play harder and leave last night in the rearview.

Yeah, well your are as terrible as a Maynor fart.

Go look in the TA Okafor come to DC thread. You will find that posted more than once.

Trevor Ariza is a very solid bball player... you can't compare him to Vesely

No, you can't. Who did that ?

Easy there, TGW...still have a 2nd half to play

Now, this is a game. Good thing Wiz forgot yesterday's evening.

I think the 20 pt ass whooping was the motivation. Back to back games helps. Specially when the 2nd is at home. It was a gimme they would have better energy tonight.

Last night is when the coach needed to motivate them. He failed to do that.

It really is. Probably should make that my sig.

DETs isn't any better though.

Its just a 3 ball and mid range centric offense. Except Nene just being Nene in the post.

Wow, glad this team has short term memory. It's rare we take a team to the woodshed.

Let's see if Witt-less can get a full game out of this bunch...2nd half left to play

its crazy how great Wall is right now. He use to struggle all day with guys like Rubio & Jennings. Now he cant be stopped. He would get owned by Deron Williams. Now he owns him. Even the best like Paul who was playing so far out of his mind that no one in history wouldve stopped him that night, Wall still gets 24 & 12. I dont care what anyone says. He's at the top level and Im not picking hardly anyone over him right now

And the lead has slipped to 5

I love Wall's halftime interview.

Chris Miller, "...Minnesota got too much penetration..."
John Wall, "It starts with me, its on me...I let Rubio get penetration..."

If this was Robert Griffin it'd be "we" or "they" or "us"

Wall having a really nice line so far.

5 FTA is key. Thats when his game is at its best. When he is getting to the line. And that helps the entire team.

Wow. Otto with 3 rebounds in 6 minutes.

The nutty thing about Wall, he just turned 23 in September.

If only the Wizards would have picked Noel over Porter :|
