I'm more bothered by the talent we did draft and gave away (Middleton, Afflalo). I'm still fine with KCP. If we are going to start a thread about draft picks we didn't draft, let's have one about D Wade and Melo. Burke was a reasonable choice, but I don't think we are going to regret drafting him as much as people think. Let's see what we have with KCP before we lament Burke as the one that got away. Overall, I think we've done well in the draft excluding the lazy Serbian underachiever.

Still my lock for best player in this class, he screams Steph Curry to me.

Injuries are a concern though.

Everyone overlooked how tiny a sample size it was (his senior season was shortened by injury) and the level of competition he faced (awful). He'll be a decent backup guard who'll hope to hang on to a job long enough to get into a studio, since he sounds extremely intelligent.

haha, said the same thing about Lillard.

I dont understand why people jump on KCP like hes a scrub.

1. Hes a rookie.
2. Its not like we are a championship contender this very moment.
3. The rookie season is not a time to judge a player, you do this after year 3 and 4 because that is when they start trending up or down.

KCP has shown the tools to be a solid nba player. He has the body of a classic swingman, the shooting range and defensive tenacity that shows he will be a solid piece in the nba for the span of his career once he refines his game. Thats really all you could hope from a guy picked in the late lottery of a "weak draft".

KCP looks like hot garbage.. He's terrible. We screwed up this year for sure considering Burke and MCW were available and were discussed heavily right here on RealGM. We hit a home run because of Drummond and Dumars **** the bed the next year..

Could be worse though, we could be Cleveland..

Players aren't made in 30 games during their rookie season. KCP hasn't come out of the game as a beast like MCW has, (Burke has been a mixed bag )but that doesn't make him a bust.

Probably not.

As I said earlier, Burke can't defend a door at the moment.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.
