Nowadays we probably are better without a broken down old and slow Kobe. What really hurt us tonight was our lack of post scoring, especially when you have guys like Meeks, Xavier, Johnson and Williams just shooting from the perimeter. It's easy to take pau for granted but when your missing a guy that puts up 20 10 and 5 assist, it really makes your offense sputter and takes all the flow out. Only reason we're not in full "tank" mode is because pau and without him we truly are sunk.

Turn overs

Inconsistent rebounding

Interior defense

Meeks not sharing the ball.

As for the fourth element I stated, at 99-99 Meeks stubborness to pass the ball is slowly creeping up on the Lakers. Everybody here at first was telling me ...."well he was told to just play", well it's time to reign that bull sh*t in.

That play turn the game.

That said I'm never mad at this team, they play hard and never quit but we ain't about moral victories. 13-17 sucks.

Happy your watching the same game I am. This is why this isnt the right coaching hire DEEP. This guy will never seen eye to eye with a superstar player going forward in his coaching career. I want role players confident to shoot the ball and make a play but not chucking up shots just because Mike D says its OK TO DO. That Meeks play was just awful and selfish. He made a good play and stole that pass then he literately ignored a advantage break to try that awful looking Euro step he tries to do to score. Then on the last play of the game he had Farmar open on the Flair screen then he literately ignored him and chucked up a half court 3. To me that has more to do with the coach and structure and philosophy he runs. Even with the little time that was left he could've given that ball up to Farmar for a better look at the rim. As long as we run this CHUCK A 3 EVERYWHERE at anytime offense we can never be a good defensive team. Its bad enough Pau isnt a good interior and rim protector but running him up and down the court and not allowing him to rest on offense doesnt help the guy either.

Lets just call it what it is... It was another BAD HIRE from the beginning, and I'm not mad at Mike D for taking the job. But this hire was admitted for Nash (JIM BUSS WAS INTERVIEWED ON THE RADIO ADMITTING THAT). Role players are suppose to be just that ROLE PLAYERS. I dont ever want to see Meeks, Henry and Wes Johnson shooting 12-14 shots in a game (Currently now is an exemption because Kobe is hurt). I rather for this roster and who were building around for the next 2 years we need a more offensive half court coaching philosophy and a HEAD COACH who stresses the importance of playing DEFENSE and playing your whole.

BTW These "ITS KOBE'S FAULT" post are getting stupid the guy hasn't even been playing and people still blame him.

Gotta take you to task on some of this....

How is that / I mean just exactly how are we better when Kobe is our BEST playmaker out the post ?

Which is what Kobe does better than Pau even if some fail to admit it. It's how we won the Memphis game, how we controlled the tempo in that game.

Kobe would get these guys better perimeter looks

All this would be good IF Pau was ACTUALLY playing at that level every night. Pau is like a chameleon now.....we don't know which one is showing up. Pau in no longer a 20-10-5 guy, thinking he is will be just denying the facts.

If Kobe comes back being his old self then he can primarily work out of he post, create for other and it'd be all good. The problem is 18yrs in the league and some point your body is going to start breaking down; and going forward i don't think his production on the court will justify the 50 million dollar contract. But Its obvious why the franchise went in that direction so it's is what it is the next two years
