I’ve got to agree with you. Nash came into camp this year out of shape and has shown a lack of commitment. After everything this team has done for him, I think we’ve all had enough. I say get rid of him by any means and let him go and enjoy his celebrity status, bachelor lifestyle, and soccer.

My money is on him not playing a single game before the trade deadline... I don't think we want to trade him and I don't think he wants to be traded so why come back and start the rumor mill up?

If he doesn't want to be traded and the team doesn't want to trade him, why would the "rumor mill" matter at all?

Because the Lakers are a really unpredictable organization right now. They may not WANT to trade Nash, but if someone came with an offer that blew them away, I don't think Nash or his Agent have any illusions about them passing on that deal out of some sort of loyalty to Nash.

I can't imagine the market is very big for him right now anyway, but if you're Nash and you want to be able to dictate your own future, and you get medically cleared a week or 2 before the trade deadline, would you play?

Thread title is all wrong. It should read:

Steve Nash out for the remainder of his career!
Sometimes being wrong is awesome!!! :D

After 4 more weeks, another 4 more weeks, and then after that another 4 more weeks. It's kills me that this guy is getting all this money to play about 5 games for the Lakers....

He should donate his money to some sort of charity because he hasn't earned any bit of his paycheck.

Yeah man totally should donate his pay check because of a freak injury that may in all likely hood end his career. Effort is never a question in my opinion when it comes to Nash. Guy is a straight baller. He'd play if he could.

Steve Nash will not need to see a doctor, as his return from a nerve issue in his neck does not require further clearance. Nash did not travel with the Lakers on their most recent road trip. Instead, he flew to Vancouver and underwent training sessions designed to better help the ageing point guard return to the floor as soon as possible. Nash did not practice on Monday. Nash should reunite with the team, return to practice and hopefully return to game action this week. His return is predicated on his ability to physically endure the rigors of the game.

It's an interesting question... Is he capable of doing anything on the court that Marshall isn't doing right now? And Marshall can at least play some D...

As much as I'd like Nash from a few years ago to come back for us, my gut is telling me he would add nothing to this team at this point in his career.

You know you're old when you wake up at home and tweak your back doing nothing.
