Over/under
If no decent trade materializes for Bynum, what are the chances that Gilbert pays the luxury tax just to keep him off of the Heat. I think Grant steps in and says this hurts the team via the repeater penalties so I go with 30/70%.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

The Cavs are $11m under the luxury tax with Bynum accounting for the full $12.25m. Keeping him doesn't put them ANYWHERE near the tax line.

Exactly. The luxury tax and the salary cap are entirely different things, though.

Don't be too rough on the rookie. Clearly he didn't know that the salary cap and luxury tax were separate things.

Mike Brown should pay Bynum since he won't play from HIM!
