If Detroit lays an egg in this one, I could see heads rolling there very quickly - especially seeing as they have a history of destroying the Zards.

intensity will be interesting, we certainly played "our" game on saturday. I'd be surprised if DET laid another egg.

The blowout W on Saturday was another nice baby step for this team.

Confirmation that we really are a decent-semi-decent team would be
a W tonight.

Wonder how much JSmith we'll see.

I kept telling the folks in my section that Cheeks benched him because he sucks
but no one believed me. I agree with Ruz or whoever it was in the last game thread
that Cheeks surely didn't like the behind the back TO.

At least DET knows there will never be a botched national anthem in the palace.

Smith has a TS of 46% and is having problems with the coach. Go figure.

I don't see a win tonight. It would be interesting to see the statistics when a team has a back to back against a team they just blew out. I bet the winner of the first game rarely pulls out a victory again.

This is a great test to see how far along this team has come so far this season. After the way they were handled on Saturday, the Pistons will be itching for some payback.

Washington's history in Detroit is horrendous, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see Detroit return the favor with a blow out.

"Our transition defense has been bad. Our interior defense has been bad," said coach Maurice Cheeks, who held a practice Sunday despite coming off a back-to-back. "

Detroit will come out with fire in their bellies, let's hope Washington doesn't play as lethargic as they did against the Timberwolves.

This is a 50/50 game. Part of me says that the Pistons are struggling while we are rolling. There D sucks and we're healthy enough to throw up a bunch of points. They are in dissaray so if we jump on that we can make the crowd boo and the team quit. The flip side is that all there problems have come to a head which can also make a team focus more. I think Jennings called for the team to have pre game shoot arounds at the Palace more often or something and they did that today. Yesterday that practiced even though they just played a back to back and play again tonight. No one ever does that but they want to get back on track. Smith is going to try to prove something. This team is going all out for the W tonight and we suck at Detroit.

With all that being said, I think we are a different team. Weve won games and weve also been to .500 and had the team talking about winning 50 games and how great we are. Weve been humbled. We also had the great streak before the break and came out flat at Minny. Basically I feel like this team has had all the immature and cockiness take place already. We have been humbled and are past that. We will be more mature. I think we win the next 3 at home. This is the questionable one but I think our guys are up for the challange.

They practiced super hard on defensive principles yesterday. If they did all that but we still come out strong then they could get down on themselves and we could go up 20 like game 6 in Chicago in the playoffs. The main thing is to really test there D and test Drummond/Monroe. Dont let them off the hook by settling for J's, especially Wall. Wall & Jennings love to go at eachother. Wall is playing on a different level and has been putting huge numbers on guards he use to struggle against or play even with. If he continues that, we win. If he struggles that so will we probably. I hate to always put it on Wall but if he & Beal ball out then we will win. If not then its up for grabs. I think Beal will play well. Wall has to, even though its understandable if he doesnt. He's due for a stinker but he's in such a good zone that I dont anticipate one anytime soon

If we keep them off the offensive glass we should be alright. We won't score with the efficiency we did on saturday but if we match their energy level, we're the better team through and through. I'm expecting more out of Webster today. Also hopefully Jan can make it 15 mins without fouling out. I'd like to see Seraphin again...but mums the word on his injury still I suppose >.>

I predict a loss here—more than likely double digits. The Pistons are going to be out for revenge, and the long bombs and deep 2's aren't going to work this time around.

Should tell something about the Wizards if they understand the level of energy they need to come out playing and actually do it.

Could be a launching pad to some really solid play.

Or they could do what they usually do and show us just enough leg to tease us.

.500 at the end of the year would be great. When was the last time with that record or better?

Man they are battling.

Another great drive by Wall.

Two on Drummond. That is why you drive.
