Yeah, IIRC we lost to them pretty bad twice last year on the 2nd end of a B2B too. And we played em much better in the post-season (besides Game 1). I don't think today was indicative of our overall play (though I still don't think we're at OKC's level as a team), but it was just disappointing that we were so greatly bothered by their length defensively, and didn't do much at all to stop them either.

It's just one of the games, as ya'll said, and on to the next one...

This team sucks so much playing on Sundays, for whatever various reasons. But today's game against OKC was just atrocious, even with the dire circumstances.

I didn't get to watch the game so I read all your posts.
Damn, I really thought we were gonna make this game at least interesting since R. Westbrook was out.
I should've at least expected this outcome considering we were going up against one of the hottest teams in the NBA as an up and coming team while playing a couple of b2b games within a week.
On a lighter note, we have an easier schedule coming up.

Doesn't matter if Westbrook plays or not, current Rockets just not good enough to beat OKC. You guys are giving up way too many points per game.

My pre-game comment turns out to be the case

the big question is why they played so scared? is just a basketball game regular season game

this game remind me of some games in the past during the playoffs vs the jazz and vs the mavs they could not score for a long time at the beginning of the game. the team looked so scared it was scary to watch

we need more talent the point guard position and power forward position are big question marks i know lin and jones had good stats in recent games but they are not the answer... there is a big gap between us and contending teams like pacers and thunder they have kill the rockets the talent is not there .. i think no one is making a big deal because we are the 5th seed but i think if we drop to 8th..everyone is going to be mad..we dont have enough talent

very bad game
harden always looks scared when we play the thunder
howard with 3 mid range jumpers/ unreal
only player without fear was brooks

we have zero chance of beating the thunder in a playoff series zero
they know harden very well and the thunders bigs give howard a hard time
we must get another star to have a chance ,,,
fire morey please ,the sooner the better.....ryan Anderson is a 3 not a 4

Looked more like dead legs than scared... and after digging such an early hole, there was no chance of getting out. Oh well.. Rockets need to get healthy and rested.

i don't know how tired is this team
in the beginning you can see they are slow moving the ball
howard even shoot like 3-4 of those 0% bank shot
when the pump fake is not working they can't do anything
someone read the scouting report

it's not about getting blowout or not
this team has the problem when their shot aint going in they don't play defense and don't move the ball as well

how come miami and san antonio lack in this habit?
this team has a switch- and i like it -its a proof this is a great team...
miami also has it and sas has it...

btw so far you are a first person claiming defences are not tighter in playoffs...

Yeah I think Morey said it in some interview but if you were trying to win a championship, you'd rather be a team with high highs and low lows than a consistently mediocre team.

i didn't say defense is not tighter in playoff
but this team can't play that type of defense
how many time we failed in the 4th quarter?
they can't play better defense down at crunch time you expect them to improve magically in playoff because it's playoff?

this team do have a switch that can go scoreless in more than 5 min per game

sas also failed a lot of times in 4th...relax ... were in playoffs and perhaps tanking for a proper 1st round seed...true games are a cuople of months far away...and we also have a major trade in front of us...trust me morey and mchale know better than you...we showed we are able of great defense in stretches in preaseason as well as in rs...when po comes nobody will like to play vs rockets...we will kill okc even with westbrook if only dwight stays healthy...he will abuse them in post...cmon last year they even had troubles vs asik....po defense is another beast

Not really, in playoffs teams become more familiar with each other , sets get blown up due to quicker recognition, and that's why its more difficult to score. Coaches also have time to game plan and scheme, they can adjust from game to game. Yes, intensity level does rise, but that's a small part of how the game changes.
