THe starting lineup was

MCW
Elliot Williams
Hollis Thompson
Thad Young
Spencer Hawes

Thad scored 30, Hawes played terrible. Who else should take the shots? MCW was driving the ball to the rim all game long, but the refs were awful, never got any calls. He basically had to shoot upward of 20 shots with Evan Turner out, so I'd rather him drive it to the bucket instead of chucking long 2s a la Brandon Jennings. We all know MCW isn't a 20 point scorer on a winning team but he managed to hit 12-28 which doesn't translate to a horrible percentage. He was just forced to score more than he should with absolutely no other offensive option on the floor.

Definitely not one of his better games overall though. Usual stat stuffing with 6 rebs, 6assts and 3 steals, but he looked a bit frustrated and 5 turnovers is not good.

More Giannis...it looks much improved on his athleticism too

Burke is undersized, athletically limited, 21 and putting up mediocre numbers in the easiest position byfar to succeed at as a rookie. At least there are arguments for MCW and Oladipo over Giannis, but i don't think a single GM redrafts Burke over him.

Watched the game. I'm admittedly a huge MCW fan, but he did shoot a little too much. However, the 12-28 could have easily been a 15 or 16 for 28 as most of his missed shots were drives. Like you said he got hacked a few times with no calls. He also missed a few close shots, got the rebound, and put the ball back in the basket. While he gets to the basket easily, he might want to think about more floaters or short jump shots.

Who care if he shot 28 times?

I wish Oladipo had the green light to shoot 28 times, I'm jealous.

It's not like he was 4-28.

The main thing I notice when MCW plays with the Sixers is how much better of a team they are

Also, not that it really matters to the game, but he is already a top 5 fantasy pg and has potential to be at the top of that list.

Oladipo following a 16/5/11 game with 15/5/8 (2 steals and a block, coulda had 1 or 2 more from bogus calls) - I like how he's pushing the ball and making smart and quick decisions.

I worry that Burke may have a little bit of Johnny Flynn in him. Limited upside older rookie PG starting just because he's on a terrible team. But that said, limited or not, he's now clearly the best rookie the West has and may just win out on the West ROM awards. Still can't believe McLemore won Nov ROM. Now there is a guy who's incredibly disappointing. He looks years away, if ever.

MCW 13/5/5/4steals

shot 4-7.

Is that still not good enough for you guys or are you still ''not impressed'' another day in the office for MCW

You act as if anyone not impressed with him isn't the very small minority.

Well it was directed for the small percentage that aren't you know,

The ones that said the holiday trade was bad
The ones that are salty their team missed on him
The ones that were sure he was going to be a bust.

Why would I be salty? The tank is moving, my rookie leading the race and my football team just beat its rival to enter the playoffs. I'm good over here brah

Because not a single person in this thread really posted any of that. You just randomly popped in a thread about rooks and started yelling.

So me posting something I think in a sports forum makes me salty? Good to know the rules around here. Infact, go to page one of this thread and actually more than just a ''single person'' posted that in this thread.

Burke had another big game, made a shot with .2 seconds on the shot clock to pull the Jazz ahead at the end and win. Jazz are 9-11 with Burke starting, 1-13 before. :-)

Kcp with a good shooting night. I think he's used incorrectly on Pistons, but there's not much chance things change with all the alpha dogs on the team.

What do you think, who's better prospect between KCP, ben mac and hardaway?

My redraft right now, without noel and cjmc

1. Giannis - highest potential, looks way better then expected
2. MCW - interchangabke with greek freak
3. Oladipo - still not sold on him, looks like a bit better Salmons&MashedPotato
4. Adams - impressive numbers in limited minutes, Marc Gasolush potential
5. Burke - ideal position for him, but produces solid numbers and looks good

Big dropoff, KCP, ben mac and hardaway in next group, maybe zeller
