Today was the last day at halas hall so the team was talking him up. Hopefully this is just some happy go lucky bs to end the season nicely than factual.
Which i would respect i dont think the team needed to scapegoat anyone and just end the season thanking everyone for their services.

Meh. I'd rather someone else but whatever. I don't think its a huge deal.

His coaching was definitely questionable but the injuries we sustained would make any defense look bad. Not to mention poor play from our actual players, and not just things you can blame on coaching. He'll probably get a year to prove that it wasn't just him.

Cutler all but guaranteed it on his show, FWIW. To me, it's much more critical to improve the talent, then we can better evaluate Tucker.

It doesn't really surprise mme. If anything I would have been more surprised if he was fired since this is o ly his first year for the bears and there were so many injuries.

He was on my watch list when we were searching for a DC but something I didn't realize until recently is that his best seasons were when he was gifted pro bowl caliber defenders and they only decline. That would mean he can't develop talent. Hopefully I'm wrong and it was the injuries. Two things are for sure. One, our defense will be at least average as long as we stay healthy and if we have a bad defense again he'll be fired

I expected this anyways. With all the injuries it gave Tucker an excuse to have another shot.

Maybe they can still change their minds.

They actively went out and got him over other candidates last year. It kind of makes sense for management to give him more than just one year, and an injury riddled year at that.

why do u think these guys were injured? They were undisciplined and out of position all year long.

Right, definitely not because it's a tough game and injuries happen.
Put everything on the coaching and Emery. 100% their faults, right?

this defense has no foundation. The players were there. Seriously do guys remember before melton was mercifully put on ir, the type of season he was having. Playing some of the worst DT in the league!
We sucked all year long. Even healthy.

The main culprit people wanna blame is peppers but ur gonna tell me that tucker is better at his job than peppers is at his? Or that melton , briggs, peppers, tillman , jennings werent enough pieces. The talent wasnt there?, we didnt hold one team all year long under 20 points. Only time in team history, the worst run defense in the nfl since 1961. Injuries happen to every team and its apart of the game but of all the terrible teams in the nfl since 1961 no one sucked more than we did.
Injuries my ass thats an excuse.

If Tucker is going to be back, then he needs to implement his own system and Emery needs to draft accordingly. Cover 2 is not going to work for him.

You can't blame injuries on a FO guy at all. Tucker probably deserves some. Most of it goes to the lack of practice time that involves actual hitting. And 100% is to be blamed on the fact that this is sports and injuries happen all the time. Hopefully since Trestman is such new age thinker maybe he'll adopt Chip Kelly's practice habits. I think they had the fewest injuries which is amazing considering how much their defense plays and the pace the offense plays

I would have fired him but not because of injuries. A coach can be blamed for little for injuries.
