I think any option other than signing Maynor would have been a better option. When you consider that we are paying $4.1M to a guy that should be working at McDonalds as a fryboy, it makes it an even worse signing.

According to nba.com, Maynor has two games in which the Wizards outscored the opponent during his minutes on the floor: November 3 at Miami (team was +8 in 14 minutes), and December 14 vs. the Clippers (team was +4 in Maynor's 3 minutes). The team was also a net 0 (zero) on November 10 at OKC during Maynor's 13 minutes.

Yeah. Or, they could have re-signed Price and Temple, drafted Wolters and used the BAE on Blair. Probably could have still made the playoffs in the East without trading a future 1st for Gortat.

In response to the lastest title change (ie, An Extra $2mil Would Look Good in Ariza's Pocket Next Year), never ever give a player big money based upon what they do in the last year of contract. Economic studies have shown those type players almost always regress to their career norms.

I'm a Terp, and have no vested interest in any of those patriot league schools. Hell, I haven't really watched college ball in 10 years, so I honestly could care less about Maynor's college career. THe only thing I can attest to is that he stinks in the pros.
