Great, Granger returns this friday... smh. Another weapon off the bench, already know Scola is gonna scorch this team.

Damn Kobe out another 6 weeks. He'll still be back for the all-star game though...

I think the Lakers are better off without him at this point.

Stick a fork in him.

On the other hand, that's exactly why we should want him to get back as soon as possible.

GET WELL SOON, KOBE!!

whoever made the schedules hates the rockets. what more asinine way to say merry christmas, then to make a team go on a 4 games in 5 nights starting on christmas day, AND make them play on new years eve which gives the team one day off after the 4/5. top it off with the team playing 2 days before xmas, giving them no more than 1 day to rest on off days. hope no one gets mental midget syndrome

late xmas present after the knicks game on jan 3, rockets get 4 days off. 4 days isnt enough time to heal a broken legs or acl tears but at least they tried huh

well the new year's eve game is i think by request of the rockets since they want to make that an annual tradition. It's against the Kings so hopefully they play better here than they did at Sacto.

Westbrook sitting until the All Star break. Looks like the Rockets may catch a break this weekend.

Seems like Cavs called with Bynum. Nicely done to have that buyout by Jan. 7

Could-be NBA Tournament Bracket (as of 12/28)

1. Pacers
16. Pelicans
-
8. Rockets
9. Suns
-
5. Clippers
12. Mavericks
-
4. Spurs
13. Wolves
-
6. Raptors
11. Hawks
-
3. Heat
14. Nuggets
-
7. Blazers
10. Warriors

I really wish the NBA would look at some version of this.

Yeah it's not ever going to happen.

They would have to expand the season to 87 games and each team would have to play each team 3x a season to make it fair

Why would they have to do that?

I think they could balance it more by structuring the schedules fairly. A few more division games, a few less out of conference games and even B2Bs for everybody.

In fact, I think they could reduce the regular season a notch (say 72-80 games) and it would work out and in conjuction with the draft, the entire League would balance out more evenly.

Once the NBA adds an Asian division and European division, I think a tournament can make even more sense. Plus March Madness is so insanely successful, the NBA would be crazy to not look at something similar.

of course rockets get the equivalent of a 4 vs 5 matchup...

its better than the current format. but best 4-6 teams in each conference. the league lets too many teams to make the playoffs. shouldnt allow more than half of the teams in the league make the playoffs
