Biggest Sleeper for 2014 Draft?

I think a guy who will get pass on and then blow up with a good career is PJ Hairston. I haven't seen him mentioned in this thread yet. With the issues he's dealt with off the court, he might not play a single game this season for UNC. And he will likely enter the draft anyways. Roy Williams has said PJ is dominating in practice all year long so far.

I think he might slip into the late 1st round, and some team will be lucky to draft him. Kid is gonna be a stud IMO.

He does have one of the prettiest jump shots I've ever seen. I think he'll be a good player in the Martell Webster mold, but I'm not sure he does quite enough other things to be much more than top 25 pick worthy.

Aaric Murray will be 25 and he had several problems in every college he's been but so far this season, his playing has been out of this world, he's 6-11 with a long wiry frame, he is a good FT shooter and hit 3 pointers.
I will look at him in the 2nd round, if he does not get drafted and go to Europe he can be a big time player there.

Honestly...sometimes I just type stuff and don't put as much thought into it as I should. haha

But no I believe Hairston fits the definition of a sleeper in that many teams will be unsure of him since he will likely not play this year at UNC, he's had a history of questionable decisions off the court, and he was inconsistent early in his sophmore year.

However, he has the skill set and ridiculous offensive talent to blossom into a really good NBA player. He may get drafted in the late 1st, but he will be playing like a top 10 pick sooner or later IMO.

I think Hairston has the potential to be an All Star, no doubt, he has all the tools, and he just need to put it together and work in his all around game, take it seriously enough.

TJ Warren is playing great, he is not a shooter but damn, he is so efficient, he dominates in the mid range and is awesome as an offensive rebounder.
He is an old school SF, but his athleticism is average, don't know how he fits in the NBA, he is long enough to play the SF at 6'8.5 plus 6'9.5, nothing amazing, but enough.
Reminds me of Marcus Morris, but Warren is better.

He's probably not ready for the 2014 draft, but look out for improving sophomore Jake Layman of Maryland. He's 6'8 and might end up 6'9 - great range on his shot, has really improved his body, is developing versatility, a deceptively good athlete. Chandler Parsons was a late bloomer. I think Layman could develop similarly. Also on MD, Dez Wells has some basic problems he's got to improve that may end meaning he won't get drafted - way too many to's, needs consistency on his jumper - but he's a 6'5 power guard with legit scoring instincts - he might need a year or 2 in Europe or the D League, but I think he ends up an NBA player.

You're right. I don't know how I overlooked him. Has he been injured? I'll break it up later based on position and best PER. I'm still adding a lot more. Gunna take me about two weeks till I finish it. Also gunna update it. It's a little hard to read everything right now. When each team plays ten more games, there will be a better picture. Has anyone seen Larry Nance Jr at Wyoming? His per game stats are very good - 17 points, 10 boards, 1.6 blocks, shooting 60%, good FT shooter who gets to the line. He's listed now at 6'8 225 after previously being listed at 6'7 210. His father was a late bloomer both physically and skill-wise and became a really good player, so I'm wondering if Jr is following in his footsteps.

He's stock is going to rise for sure. He brings so much value to UCLA and he has improved his shooting A LOT while having a great feel for the game.

He is really good, I though his elite % were because of his athleticism only, but he is really intelligent.

he's more of a combo now, but i think he can be. he's got the vision, iq and the patience to be one. he's more disruptive defensively, but i think he has the lateral quickness to check 1's. with his size he'll be able to play off and recover. i think it'd be his best position since he does have a rather thin build.
