Of course this could be horrible if booked wrong, for example if they did the obvious Bryan is heel now and we have to live with it type of deal. Though I think this is far from where they are going, or at least I hope.
There seems to be a consensus that Bray Wyatt is a clear heel but I think this is far from true. In his debut he targeted Kane saying he isn't a demon from hell, and just another man. After their match at Summerslam and his absence Kane returns as a corporate tie man, far from a demon. Bray was right all a long.
Then with Bryan, he wanted him to join the family so they could "take down the machine". What is this machine? The Authority. Bray saw Daniel struggeling week in and out getting his ass handed to him. Bryan never asked for help during that time so Bray beat him into realizing he needed it and together they could do it. Maybe it comes off as a villain like but it sets him up as the cult like antihero.
Fast forward to now and people think that Bryan is going to get buried and booed but he could very well transform under bray as a ruthless hero who has people behind him to stop any outside beatings by the likes of the shield for instance. I think if they go down this path Bryan could take it to the next level, not just the weak underdog who over comes the odds but the solidified star.
Fast forward to Wrestlemania and you can have Triple H vs Bryan, and bryan can finally take down the machine OR he wins the royal rumble and goes on to win the title from a Triple H backed player (hopefully not Randy Orton at this point).
So concluding as long as they play this right Bryan, and the Wyatts could add so much dimension to their characters because of this. Then again maybe they will bury Bryan, but I hope not.
