That's what ESPN Insider Kevin Pelton said...

"After a terrific freshman year, Zeller took a step backward lat season, so he benefits from research showing that performance early in college is more important. Zeller's rebounding is a bit worrisome, but he figures to be an efficient scorer right away."

You have too much time on your hands. Where's Tyrus? Wasn't he a #4 pick if I'm not mistaken?

didn't expect Williams to be on this list. I guess he had his share of rookie troubles judging by those shooting percentages of his.

I know. I'm bored, and have the day off work to do nothing but freelance, watch movies, & etc.

Tyrus Thomas had a solid rookie year amid his erratic play with the Chicago Bulls because he was productive. Thomas' rookie PER was 14.8 in very limited & sporadic minutes. Thomas posted PERs between 14-18 through most of his career until the final 2 seasons with the Bobcats where he finished 9.6 & 9.0 respectively

I don't know the ramifications of it all, but Reggie Williams only played 35 of the 82 games his rookie season with the Clippers

UPDATE:

REGGIE WILLIAMS

The medical chart: Strained his left knee in early January and missed 21 consecutive games. Returned to play in 7 games and then sprained ligaments in his right knee in mid-March, which took care of the final 22 games. In all, he missed 47 of 82 games and then missed summer league while rehabilitating.

When he did play, he was an erratic shooter. So his mental outlook got banged up, too.

"I wasn't sure about my role last year, like many of us," said Williams, who averaged 10.4 points and 24.5 minutes a game."

Holy schmo KIA, if you've got Netflix streaming you should watch "Oldboy," the 2003 original Korean version, not the Spike Lee Americanized bastardization. If you like Kill Bill, Inglorious Basterds revenge story-Tarantino and Kung Fu flicks with a Greek Tragedy twist, you should go for it. Just hide the women and children.

I ended up watching "Elysium" and falling asleep near the end. I seen both versions of "Oldboy" already, as well as both volumes of "Kill Bill", and "Inglorious Bastards", but thanks for the recommendations. Now that I'm back up, I think I'm about to just wait until these NBA games start at 6pm ET & let that take up the rest of my night. At 9pm ET, I think I'm going to take in watching the Bobcats-Clippers game instead of the 76ers-Nuggets game, but I'll flip back & forth

This belongs here. I don't know why Zeller didn't just finger roll it once he realized that he was short

Okay, everybody hates Zeller? But he's our's for now. So, do you want to trade him? Who would you/could you realistically trade him for? (and don't say Jon Henson, because realistically is MIL gonna make that trade?)

There isn't much we can get for him at the moment. He would likely only be an add-on for a small improvement over another player (i.e. Hendo + Zeller for something)

I'd hold onto him for the year and see if he gets any better during the offseason first. No sense making trades that equate to grasping for straws just to lock up the 6th seed. Hell, I'd sit Al for "injury" and start Zeller and Biz to develop them and probably benefit the tank.

I don't generally agree with trading players on their rookie contracts (they can be nice bargains) or lotto picks since the talent supposedly is there and the player could break out any moment, however, damn, if we hold on to Zeller by picking up his options, he will sure get a lot of money because he was picked at number 4.

Shot chart over the last 30 days.....Cody stop shooting from the elbows, shoot from the FT line and stop going to the left of the rim go right

It'll be too difficult to trade him if he hasn't shown improvement by then. For example, Derrick Williams nor Thomas Robinson were as substandard as Cody Zeller has been, but their trade value was rock bottom by NBA standards when that time came. However, I wouldn't advise Charlotte to trade Zeller for just anything. The wait-and-see approach is best, especially being that he plays a position of need
