Sorry guys, but as a native New Yorker even I can't believe some of the trade proposals you guys are throwing out there, and NY is supposed to be the most basketball savy city in the league. You expect the Warriors to trade their core for Carmelo? The verdict is still out on Carmelo being able to lead, but he can't do it with this supporting cast. And to this day I still can't believe the man-love everyone still has for Amare. He's the main reason this team is in the situation it is. And to hear even to this day how most of you still say Amare is better than David Lee. NOt only the 18/10 that Lee gives you, but he's also a great passer and he hustles. SO his D is not great but neither is Amare, and most important Amare has been so hurt he's a non-factor. But you guys wanted Amare and Carmelo, now deal with it. Carmelo sees the sinking ship and wants out. If he could, he would run off and join the other vag's in Miami so he can get an easy ring, after all, thats the way of the modern NBA player, they don't want to earn a ring, they want to rid eon others coat-tails to do it. But thats another story.
Don't get me wrong, always been a Knicks fan, but we have not done a smart thing in ages, started by trading Ewing to Seattle and bringing back more washed up garbage in return.
Should have amnestied Amare, not Billups, and we'd not be in this sinking ship now. And now that the cats out of the bag, Carmelo has to go, it will be poison like it was in Denver. And Carmelo will only want to go to Chicago or LA or Miami. The Lakers have nothing, I'd swap Gasol for Amare, good for us. The Clippers wont trade Griffin who is a fan favorite for Carmelo. Miami? Bosh and parts? The Rockets would be a good fit for Carmelo, playing with Harden and Dwight, but what can they give in return other than Asik? Lin and Parsons? Would have to be some sort of crazy 3 or 4 team trade I figure. Something involving Gasol and Asik? Something to get Carmelo to LA, Gasol to Houston where he would be a factor next to Dwight and they give up Asik which is wasted space now, the thing is who is the 4th partner the Knicks can flip Asik to? And you gotta figure that either Bargs or Amare has to get thrown in the deal. The Lakers would be willing to do this to get Carmelo in LA.
