The great thing for us is that it's not the only thing he does. I'm sure you have watched how he rebounds, above all on offense, eheheh. A big part of why we lead the L in fastbreaks, too.

He's a keeper, and I think it will depend just on McD. He can't demand too much, can he?

Yeah he does grab boards.... but I almost cringe when he does it on the O side, for he is almost guaranteed to try to muscle it back up, regardless.

So ok, I'll give him a raise.... 11 mill over 3 8-)

Really nice point. Yeah, almost every time he gets it, he tries to score. When I play with my friends I always think 'you own what you prey'. In the NBA, tho, he could use some smarts in that area and secure the possession instead, at least until the refs give him more respect (if indeed there is such thing).

Yeah, I think 3.5 is a deal both sides can happily agree upon.

One thing probably we have not been taking into consideration is that if we make the playoffs, every own free agent contract signed this summer is going to come with a plus for the players.

That's an ironic comparison.

I think the only player we need to compete for a title is Hayward.

Bledsoe 18/4/6
Dragic 18/3/6
Hayward 16/5/5

:droop:

Three players with the ability to distribute the ball well surrounded by players that can knock it down or slam it down.

Also what would it take to get Hayward for the rest of this season? He cant have that much value at this point.... I wonder if the suns can try to kinda bully their way into making a trade happen. Tell them we are going to offer him some crazy contract that they wont want tomatch so they either trade him to us now or they lose him for nothing,... Unless the Jazz plan on matching any offer in RFA of course.

I'd love to be able to take our talent to the next level this season if we could get him for pennies.

I don't think Hayward would be enough to compete for a title but acquiring Kevin Love would get us closer to contend then with Hayward.

We could still afford Love the following offseason thru FA. :)

I think we'd be very exciting, however we would need a starting caliber PF. I love Frye, but he is meant for a sixth man role with us, primarily as a backup shooting center going against opposing teams backup center.

How would the Hawks feel about giving us Paul Millsap/Elton Brand for Emeka Okafor and the Pacers pick? Would that give us our primary PF, even though he's kind of a tweener? More importantly would we still be able to afford both Bledsoe, and then go after Hayward with the most lucrative offer available?

Bledsoe/Dragic/Hayward/Millsap/Plumlee +Frye, Morris twins, Goodwin, Green, Tucker (?) Len (still developing).

That's an exciting team, and if the chemistry clicks I think could possibly take us far, especially with the Spurs getting one year older.

I think the Hawks will want to make deals to fix the loss of Horford, not blowing it up, as they have the luxury of competing while getting a supposed high pick via Nets. Makes no sense for them to trade their quality big man, who is having a terrific year, for nothing tangible.

But yeah, if Millsap was available, I'd be interested.

Why would they not want to blow up? They made it past the Eastern Conference First Round like once over the last 15 years or so.

Yeah, but doing it this precise season means nothing for them. Since they'll probably swap picks with the Nets, they can have their cake and eat it.

I think Frank meant we could help facilitate a deal between two other teams (i.e., third wheel). I for one would rather have Miller than Ish Smith.

I think suns should go all in for either Arron Afflalo/DeMar DeRozan and Zach Randolph/Carlos Boozer

Um Gasol is not that big of an upgrade over The Big Dapper for 3 first round picks. Plums is still young, he will get better offensively. Terrible terrible trade.

No thanks to anyone mentioned above tbh. It doesn't even make sense besides randolph and you could make an argument to that.

Gasol is not on my list of needs, especially with Plumlee and Len in the wings. We need 3 and 4's

It's a ways out but after Amar'e expires, assuming we still haven't found a solid PF yet, if he's healthy, would you guys be willing to bring STAT back on the cheap? Maybe as a backup.
It'd be cool for him to make one more run as a Sun.
