So the top 4 point guards in the league Paul, Rose, Westbrook, and Rondo are all out plus Kobe. This season has been so exciting!

might need surgery, could be torn labrum

Ken Berger reported Friday that his sources say Chris Paul's injury has an unknown timetable and a league source says it's "too early to speculate."
Berger also offers up the possibility of a torn labrum and/or surgery, but that sounds like pure speculation on his part. For what it's worth, it sounds like that is a possibility but that the source and all parties would like to wait until an MRI on Saturday before staking their claim to any timeline. The 3-5 week timeline still sounds like a minimum marker and the possibility of surgery would only add to that, and owners should probably stick with what we know now and only give loose credence to anything beyond that.

Told Clippers will be happy if CP3 is only out 3 to 5 weeks. Will know more in a couple of days. Breath-holding time until then.

Did he hurt it while flopping? Looks to me like a typical CP3 flop gone wrong.

Jeremy Lin could be in the all star game if another guard goes down. Paul won't be back until after the All-Star break I just feel it will end up that way.

it sucks for any player to get injuried,
But Chris Paul had no one to blame but himself on this one.
He didn't need to fall and do a tumble, but he did it.
You can clearly see that he purposefully drags the upper part of his left feet and hits the deck as if tripped or something. Ellis' feet weren't even close to his.
Ellis was trying to get through the screen and fouls him, but that force is of a light push that wouldn't have caused his feet to react that way.
Paul could've just took the steps to stay up but he decided to flip his feet.

You know its possible he lost his balance and tucked on the roll to brace for impact? No the B^tch troll ass haters will continue pile on a injured player. I'm done happy for the win tonight.

CP3.....not that it's related to this injury...but the Clippers are asking him to do way too much to win games... Team is flawed and they might end up shortening his career if he has to do so much EVERY game just to have a chance to win.

I hate to agree...but it DOES look like he was flopping/acting a bit to get the call....and put himself in a tumble. You can clearly see he suddenly jerks his head down like the Ellis impact was more than it was.

Injuries...never good. But this could be a little bit of flopping karma....

it doesn't work like that. They name the starters from the votes, then coaches vote the reserves. If a voted starter is injured, they don't just take the next guy on the list of votes, the commissioner picks the replacement player, the coach picks the replacement starter.

I do t understand how peoples are saying with 100% certainty that he was flopping. Even given his history, this doesn't look like a flop to me.

He looked like he was tryna get a call, imho. He felt Ellis slightly bump his left shoulder and snapped his head back. That's not a natural movement at all.

Ok this a very serious situation, and wish CP3 a speedy recovery, but that post is hilarious.

Woodsanity wrote:So many injuries this season. Sucks. Screw Monta Ellis.

Whats the recovery time for a shoulder sprain usually?

Again, as I mentioned in the Ryan Anderson thread, we need to stop with this mentality of quickly finding someone to blame. It's annoying, an unnecessary. Sometimes injuries just happen, it's an unfortunate part of the game.

It wasn't really a twist, he drags it from the top part of his feet.
Interesting how that happens at the same time as when he snaps his head back,
Looks the pose of a ballerina, beautiful.

Anyways hope he comes back soon, the clips need him, and I'm pulling for them to beat the rockets anyways in the first round if they meet.
