I was under the impression that since he is skipped, but doesnt lose his pick, he basically has the pick to use whenever, although it is obviously better to use it sooner rather than later. Considering he has another 12 hour gap that is probably when the pick will be taken I suppose. The Clock continues to run and if whitehops makes two quick picks it quickly resets to Mars_Blackmon

I hoped that when people signed up for this, they would actually be active and make their picks. Well, this is disappointing and frustrating... whitehops, you're up.

Edit:

O_6 wrote:Since it's the first round, maybe whitehops can simply have the #15 pick while Mars_Blackmon gets the #16 pick?

That gives Mars_Blackmon the 16/17 picks and 24 extra hours to show up. And whitehops would have picks 15/18.

I think it's fair since it's the 1st round and these two haven't made their picks yet.

We can also do this, if whitehops agrees.

I'd fill in for them if they are inactive. I'm pretty active, so if you guys need a sub hit me up.

You're picking in Mars_Blackmon's place. You're slotted in at pick #15 and whitehops retains his back to back picks at #16 and #17.

You have 12 hours! Good luck.

Good move I think.

Once the draft gets going, if a GM who had previously been on the ball is disappears for a little bit, I think it's good to just skip him for a while until he comes back.

When it happens on the 1st pick though in my experience it means that the person in question forgot about the project, and there's no sense in waiting for him.

Exactly. He isn't too active of a poster on the PC board, and he's missed quite a bit of time, even tho he has been posting on the general board.

Is whitehops first pick skipped (because O_6 made his pick at 4:56 pm, skipped Mars at 4:46 am, now its past 5 pm) or is it 12 hours after HeartBreakKid made his pick?

Well, he has back to back picks, so technically he has 24 hours to make picks. I want to avoid another situation where we have to replace a GM so we'll count it from when HeartBreakKid made his pick. I quoted him in the Miami game thread for tonight, he posts there often. Hopefully he checks in tonight during the game and sees it and makes his pick. We'll give him till 1pm tmrw to make both picks, but I hope he does it sooner.

thank god you let me know in that heat game thread hibachi, been busy the last couple days and haven't had a chance to browse the forums very thoroughly at all. would've missed my pick and the draft.

with my first round pick (and the 16th pick overall) I select Charles Barkley.

with my second round pick (and the 17th pick overall) I select Chris Paul.

HeartBreakKid is on the clock.

He selects Steve Nash to pair with Dirk. Oh the hijinks they'll get into!

A lot of great wings being selected so I'll take the GOAT perimeter defender
