This is the perfect game for us right now. GS is a very good team but they like to get up & down the floor which suits us. We should have more energy and focus after these 2 terrible performances. Sooner or later shots will start to fall for someone and become contagious.
The biggest reason I like this game is Wall. I feel he has been distracted by his eye injury. However, Curry is an elite peer and this is the same team Wall got ejected against last year when he was on his tear so I think he wants to come out strong. Either way, Im not worried about the opponents like you guys are. Its all about the Wiz. If we played like we were playing then we probably beat both Dallas & Toronto. Its not that we arent good enough to beat them. Its that we lost our rhythm at a bad time.
We have a tough sked like someone pointed out but we are still capable of winning against those teams when we find our rhythm again. The bad thing is that funks can last a long time and our guys seem to be getting a lil tight right now. I think this team has some kinda resolve though and should bounce out of it sooner or later. If Wall leads the way like I think he can then it will uplift the others. Either way, we arent nearly as bad as some are acting and will break out again in due time

I personally don't think the Wiz suck or are bad. I think they are mediocre, and their record supports that. I have no doubt they will "break out" soon. I also have no doubt that they will slump soon too. That's what average teams do.

The team is not good. They aren't horrible, but they aren't good either. And at the end of the year, their record will support that. They'll lose to teams better than them (55-60% of the league) and win against lesser teams.
The Wizards have, maybe 5 good NBA players. Most everyone else on the roster is mediocre or wouldn't see the court on a good team. A team that doesn't have depth isn't going to be very successful. This is why management is important.

see, I dont agreee with that. I agree that its skewed but its skewed both ways. We havent played alot of good teams but weve also been hurt. My point is I think we are better then all of you think we are and if we are healthy we will win alot more of those games against the top teams then others think we will. I firmly believe that. At one point we had the 4th rated started unit in the whole league. 4th. Better than all those great teams. We lost because at the same time we had the worst rated bench. Last. Now with the health getting better, so is our bench. We will be better then people think.
With that being said, I still think Witt sucks so its almost like I dont want us to win but I thnink he should be gone next year either way.

It's the NBA man, every team has been 'hurt'.. Wade is in and out of the lineup in Miami, Igoudala was out for GS, LAC just lost Paul for a couple weeks, and of course Rose, Kobe, Brook Lopez, etc the list goes on.
The difference is that good teams aren't built like the Wizards. Good teams have an actual system/philosophy in place, and their management makes it a point to acquire supplementary players who fit their system. The Wizards are just a random collection of players with no competent leadership or unifying philosophy to guide them.
And you are completely right that Wittman sucks for this team. He's basically a laughingstock of the league at this point, every time I read/hear national media about the Wizards he's being crapped on. Randy is an intelligent guy, but clearly isn't in touch with the pulse of the team and that's become more obvious in recent weeks. Canning him and hiring Karl or Hollins would be a dream come true.. but that likely isn't going to happen during the season so, oh well.
same thng I said to illmatic. Im not talking about full health. Just give us 2 of 3 guys and we have won games after the slow start. It doesnt matter. We can debate all day but time should tell soon enough. We will break out the funk and should have Wall with either one of Nene or Beal for a solid stretch. If we dont improve then you guys are right but I think we will hold our own better than some thinkdandridge 10 wrote:dlts20 wrote:Illmatic21 wrote:^Washington has played one of the weakest schedules in the league so far, so those records are skewed. Dlts20...I don't know why you keep bringing up "the last 2 games." I'm not just looking at the last 2 games. I am looking at all the games. While we have played well at times, we have also played poorly at times and have lost a bunch of winnable games. I also think its foolish to judge a team "while at full health". Virtually no team is always going to be at full health. That is why you have to have a quality bench that is deep, which we don't. Listen, its fine that you think we have a better than average team. You seem to be an optimist all the time. Nothing wrong with that. Ultimately, the record at the end of the season will tell us what kind of team they are. Right now, they are 2 games below .500 in a pathetic Eastern Conference and they have played a relatively easy schedule. Right now, they don't look like anything but a mediocre team. Hope I am wrong, but I don't think I am.
