I worry about Thad's 3 pt shooting; I wonder if there's anyway to get Shumpert still, I think he's undervalued because of the Knicks' abortion of a season they're having.

Young is .412 from the 3 this season, better than anyone from our team.

I'm aware what he's shooting this season, but studies have shown high 3 point percentage seasons can be an aberration, especially since this season we are at a pretty small sample size still. I also don't like that Thad is a tweener like Josh, I think it's better if the Pistons added true wings, so you send Josh Smith back to the post (where he belongs).

Who do you purpose we trade for that would be better and can realistically get.

It's possible considering our bench is a craphole. Jennings/KCP/Singler/Smith/Dre, with Young playing SF and PF coming off the bench playing 30+ mins. I'm hoping Philly would add in a filler SF though.

Tbh thats actually his value - now at least, it would be higher if he was locked in for 3-4 years ... Or if we never got smith.

just so we are clear i would prefer dealing josh smith, I just don't see that as realistic since he was just signed this off season.

1. I would never trade Monroe for Shumpert.
2. Monroe & Bynum for Lamb, Adams & Jones, Monroe is going to get a big payday so OKC would never do it.
3. Monroe, Jerebko & Bynum for Gallinari & 2014 1st. Gallinari is a big risk with his knee injury, that's why I'd want the 1st.

His value based on what? Everyone is hung up on how much he's going to get paid on these forums as if he suddenly becomes untradeable even if he gets a max deal. Guess what, he won't be. He's not going to give you less than he's giving you right now and if you want to undo your mistake, you can send him to a contender who has an expiring. Hell, nene was traded on his contract after the nuggets got buyers remorse...and Monroe isn't even past his prime.

1. I would never trade Monroe for Shumpert.

Bynums only out for one thing, he really isnt much help as far as keeping the ship right until Paul comes back. if they were looking to move Bullock they could probably do better than Will.
