Sorry for taking so long to draft, was at the gym with my friend and then went to his place to hang out/watch the football games. Should be paying closer attention from here on out.

Pretty happy with my two picks, I have a vision for my team.

Btw, is the other thread specifically for drafting and this one for discussion?

It's interesting to see the first guy who has drafted two players. It's a first glimpse of a foundation of anyone's team. Barkley and CP3 are advanced stats darlings so I'm sure you'll be well-received by our judges. :D

Cool, now we have Doc/Karl. :o
That's one offensive machinery, even if it's early 80's Erving (which is still pretty awesome).

I would have thought Karl goes before Erving, but in the end, they did end up on the same team. :)

I'm kinda glad I didn't get stuck with Chuck. I didn't really want to deal with a one way player this early on.

I really can't wait to make my pick. I'm running out of power forwards here.

Teams are made of 5 players or there will be some bench players?

Ewing&Durant my favourite duo so far. Really interesting duos incoming, for sure.

I must say Doc MJ just posted the best response since the beginning of existence of the draft thread. Or should I say ardee posted it? Whatever...Well done sir.

Someone (Mister Hibachi) finally took Moses. I think no one had taken him him in the first round because people were concerned about his defense, but his scoring and rebounding were awesome, and he won back-to-back MVPs with two different teams in 1982 and 1983..It's a bit weird to me that HeartBreakKid wanted Karl instead of him. After all, Moses and Doc are a proven duo. I was actually starting to wonder whether he'll be picked before my pick at #24. Strangely, I'm happy that Hibachi nabbed him because it'd be very difficult to pass up on him and I don't think he's a perfect fit to Kobe (and I'd love to have a big man with great defense to pair with Bryant).

Ardee taking Dirk and Nash was so predictable that I could literally smell it right from the get go, assuming they'd still be available. :D

*Now that I'm thinking about it, it's especially weird that Moses went at #20 and Kareem at #8...When they actually played in the early 80s, many people (if not the majority) considered Moses to be better.

Hibachi maybe you could edit the title to show who's on the clock.

Oh damn, Bruh Man nabbed Pippen... I wanted Kobe/Pippen as my personal Jordan/Pippen...He now has KG/Pippen duo, that's some scary defense right there. :o

BTW. I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU MISTER HIBACHI - you said that a player has to have at least 185 games played in three seasons to qualify...I seriously consider taking a guy who played 183 games over three seasons, but one of this seasons was the shortened, 50-game 1998-99 season, and he played 46 out of 50 games possible. I can still take him, right? :-?

Same for me, and it's not like KAJ was a defensive juggernaut those days.
I felt like Moses and Karl would go in the 1st round... especially Moses seems like a steal at #20. He will be an amazing 2nd option to Wade, and of course means a ton of offensive rebounds as well.

I think the rule should work with the same percentages. So if the limit was 185 games in three seasons, playing 183 games including the shortened '99 season should most definitely qualify.
I'm no Mister Hibachi  , but that's common sense. :D

The 2nd and 3rd rounds are probably going to be the most fun because it'll probably be when the identity of our teams are formed.

Some really great duos so far. At the start of the project I was really interested in seeing where Pippen would go. I love that he's paired up with Garnett, two players who are so versatile and dominant defensively.

Agreed.

I also love that duo, but Bruh Man will need to take a great, efficient scorer in the third round, otherwise he'll likely have judges argue that his team doesn't have a go-to-guy or a closer.

Completely agree. The names are vanishing rapidly off my paper. I'm curious who will be left (in my case at #27 and then #43). Any team can go in so many different directions depending on those 2nd and 3rd round picks.
