today's recap:
Roma and Juve look real good.

Inter tops Milan 1-0 in the 85th min off a nice flick from Palacio. Milan still in shambles...but have the excuse of Montolivo's suspension and Abate/El Sha among other injuries

Rossi with yet another goal and Fiorentina win 1-0

Verona = Serie A's Southhampton. Forza Luca Toni
Torino also high in the standings.. Cerci and Immobile doing their best to make the World Cup team

transfer rumors in italy:

Nainggolan wanted by Roma, Inter, and Milan; after years of speculation is likely to leave Cagliari.

Torino's Cerci wanted by several big clubs in England. They are interested in Giovinco as a replacement if he leaves.

Napoli's Cannavaro likely to move to Lazio, Inter, or Parma after being ignored by Benitez.

Milan sold 19yr old Niang (famous for hitting post vs Barca and never scoring a goal for the club) to Montpellier.

Heitinga wanted by Roma and Fiorentina.

Juve pursuing Di Maria and/or Mandzukic.

also:
El Shaarawy has surgery, out another ten weeks...pretty much killing WC hopes

If Juve get either of Di Maria or Mandzukic, they will be even more scary. I heard that Juve is looking to sell Vucinic to Spurs, which I think would be good business for both teams, especially if Juve picks up another striker.

Juve doesn't really need mandzukic. Their strikers are just fine. Di Maria would be a nice addition though.

He's better than Llorente, imo. But I agree, it's a little wasteful to have either him or Mandzukic on the bench. Still, it's a luxury to have that kind of quality in depth.

Llorente has actually been playing super well since like mid October...I honestly never expected it after how slow he started off. Manduzkic and him are very similar but I'd love Mandzukic over Vucinic. I friggin love Di Maria but I can't see them spending much money on anyone in Jan.

Can't wait until Juve vs. Roma next week.

A real test to see how far Roma have come this season, and finally somebody worthy of testing Juve's perfect home record in the league.

cannot wait.

probable lineups:

both teams with arguably their strongest 11.
Pogba likely over Marchisio and Destro over Florenzi.

Cuadrado leads Serie A this year in beating players off the dribble. They call it Fintas. He has 109.

Second in that list Guarin. Third, Ibarbo. I'm guessing Italians don't like one on one dribbling that much lol. Useless stat, I just find it interesting that the top 3 are all Colombian. Well, Cuadrado would be top 3 in any league in my opinion.

that's an interesting stat. Cuadrado is not surprising, even Ibarbo I can see...Cagliari plays so defensively and rely on him to get the ball when they clear it, and he is given freedom to create off the dribble and just run his ass off.
Guarin is surprising. I'm not sure who else would be up there...i'd guess Cerci, Candreva, Hernanes, and maybe Cassano? Gervinho?
It is true, Italian players really lack this. but also the pride they take in defense must be credited

Yeah, I was surprised by Guarin as well. He's not a bad dribbler, but nowhere near as Cuadrado or Ibarbo. Never thought of Guarin as a player who likes to take players on. Ibarbo needs to leave Cagliari. He's very similar to Cuadrado and could do so much more elsewhere.

The Italian playing in Sunderland is pretty good, but yeah Italians Are Generally Not Great dribblers. Their tactical and technical discipline is awesome and something that Colombians have historically lacked though. That's why I think you can never count out Italy as favorites to win the WC.

yea they both are due for bigger clubs. We will be saying i told you so to many people this summer at the WC when i expect Cuadrado finally will get the hype he deserves outside of Italy/Colombia.

Giuseppe Rossi coming out of the Fiorentina game with an injury and a huge grimace of disbelief on his face like "oh hell no, not this again." please don't be a serious injury
