Ballboys deserve some luv too... Yes I would do this deal... Thad young is already better than G.M.... the roster flexibility is worthwhile.... now would Philly consider it?

I don't like it, sorry for beating a dead horse but Turners 3 Point shot is suspect as well, Detroit needs players that can spread the floor

On top of that I wouldn't want to sign Turner this summer, there's a good chance he gets $8-10M per on a 4 year deal, basically making it Monroe for Young and I think we could do better than that.

jones has been much better than smith and he's a lot cheaper, i have a hard time believing Houston would move him like this.

Or we could make it a much larger deal:

Main parts (fillers may be needed):

TO HOUSTON: Josh Smith, Rondo, Siva, and Datome
Rondo / Beverly
Harden
Garcia / Brewer / Datome
Smith / Datome
Dwight

TO BOSTON: Asik, Stuckey, CV, Singler, picks from Houston
Crawford / Bayless / Stuckey
Bradley / Stuckey
Green / Singler / Bogans
Sullinger / Bass / Hump
Asik / Sullinger / Olynyk

TO DETROIT: Parsons, T. Jones, Lin, Casspi, MarShon Brooks, Gerald Wallace
Jennings / Lin
KCP / Brooks
Parsons / Wallace
Monroe / Jones
Drummond / Monroe

Houston would have to send out about $11M more for this trade to work, add Lin and Casspi coming here and it works financially but the Rockets would have absolutely zero depth.

I'm actually surprised that the Rockets and Pelicans haven't already made an Asik/R.Anderson deal of some type.

I don't like any of those deals above. I sort of like the Tad Young/Evan Turner deal, but doubt Philly would pull the trigger unless they get KCP instead of Singler.

Reports were Boston wouldn't even trade Green for Asik straight up. Highly doubt Ainge adds a young cheap center in Favarani and takes back the lousy contract of Jerebko.

Ainge was rumored to want to trade for Smith last year but who knows if that's the case now.

I proposed Stuck for Ariza a few weeks ago and I still think that is our best best. If we can get Was to take CV/Singler for Ariza even better. Ariza is an absolute sniper from distance he takes 6 threes a game and coverts on 41% of them so he would easily be our best shooter and he plays defense.

Jennings/Billups/Siva
Ariza/KCP
Smith/Ariza/Singler
Monroe/Smith/Jerebko/CV
Drummond/Monroe/Jorts

I would LOVE this trade:

Pistons/Suns/Celtics 3 way trade:

Detroit- Goran Dragic and Jeff Green

Phoenix- Greg Monroe and Rodney Stuckey

Boston- Markieff Morris, Archie Goodwin, Kyle Singler, 1st Rounder from Phoenix

Detroit becomes:

Dragic/Jennings/Billups
KCP/Dragic/Billups
Green/Datome/Jerebko
Smith/Jerebko/Harrellson
Drummond/Harrellson

Jennings takes the role of a more talented Bynum with a spark off the bench and we get Dragic to be a smart playmaker to feed Smith and Drummond inside. Jeff Green can hit the 3 and plays good defense at the wing.

Phoenix gets a young big man to build around with Eric Bledsoe as well as Stuckey's expiring contract.

Boston gets a young big man in Morris, a very capable Kyle Singler, a young guard and a 1st rounder in a strong draft.

I think Boston wants to build around Green, not trade him for a bunch of role players. But, that is just me.

Finally some actual trade rumors involving the Pistons.

Sounds like they are 50/50 on what to do at this point.

The Detroit Pistons are an interesting team to watch as the deadline approaches. There is a lot of turmoil in Detroit, and the Pistons aren’t sure whether they should be buyers or sellers at the deadline, according to league sources. They had playoff expectations entering the season after adding Josh Smith, Brandon Jennings and Chauncey Billups among others, but they have struggled early on. Within the organization, it sounds like there are some people who want to be buyers in order to ensure a playoff berth, but there are also some who don't believe the pieces fit together very well and think Detroit should be sellers. Keep an eye on Detroit over the next month and a half.

I hope we try and get Neal. He'd be very valuable off the bench, IMO.
