THEN:

Height:
6'6" 1/2

Position: PF, C

Strengths: big hands, good touch around basket, athletic, quick, very good defender, leaper, finisher around rim.

Weaknesses: other than good touch on jumphooks and layups around rim, limited offensive game.

NBA Comparison: taj gibson, jordan hill

NOW:

Strengths: big hands, tremendous touch around basket, offensively skilled, good ballhandling ability, footwork and post moves, smart defender, encourages teammates and communicates.

Weaknesses: tends to play hero-ball, can be a black hole, olds/slow, inconsistent jumpshot.

NBA Comparison: Shareef-Adbur-Rahim, Charlie Villenueva, Kelly Olnyk

6'5, 210 (pf), just turned 22 (potential!)

strengths
-good post game with either hand
-good passer from high post and low post
-nice mid range jump shooter
-good team defender (understand rotations, where to be on defense, always talking, etc)
-good free throw shooter
-unselfish + would rather make the pass and get a teammates a score than score myself
-good conditioning and strong
-cannot stand incompetence from teammates or coaches
-good with mind games / enjoy getting under opponents' skin
-boxes out

weaknesses
-not the most athletic (white...i can dunk, easily, but nothing crazy)
-not the quickest laterally if im playing a wing, but solid for pf
-really streaky from three
-loves the flashy pass
-argues (or, as i like to put it, "just talking"") with the refs
-cannot stand incompetence from teammates or coaches
-can play too physically and get into foul trouble
-although i box out, i sometimes require my guards to get the boards because im too busy boxing out and not always focusing on getting the ball...whoops

comparison - nick collison meets the gasols (post moves + passing)

6'1, 180 lbs

Strengths: advanced post game with great footwork. Can shoot over people due to high release on jumpshot, go-to moves are jumphook over the left shoulder and baseline turnaround fadeaway. Good midrange shooter, decent 3pt shooter although very low 3pt rate/volume, prefers inside game. High BBIQ with good feel for the game, good court vision with natural passing ability, especially out of post. Average handles, but utilizes jab steps and pumpfakes well to create space on perimeter. Smart defender who is great team defender, doesn't foul much.

Weaknesses: poor foot speed, has trouble scoring against more athletic taller matchups. Strongly favors driving right and is mistake prone when driving left. Settles for jumpers too much. Has no left hand, rarely to tries finish with left hand. Inconsistent effort defensively. Below average rebounder.

I can't believe i missed this thread, time to think back and get depressed again lol. Anyway i'll do a in prime and a current one. Current being after a broken back and two messed up ankles, i'm actually in the process of having them repaired... 2 surgeries down, 2 to go. Wish me luck.

I put spoiler tags because my post turned out to be quite lengthy.

Prime
Spoiler:
SF (able to play any position, depending on matchup) 20yo, 6'0, 180 lbs with 7% bf, 6'0 wingspan, max recorded vertical 38" or 40" depending on who you ask.

Strengths:
- able to guard every position with lockdown defense, except 6'6+ guys with good post skills
- great rebounder, has been known to have 25+ reb games, averaged anywhere between 10-15
- great shotblocker, once had 7 in a game, averaged 2-3, once blocked a 7 footer's dunk attempt
- good passer, always finds open teammates
- quick first step, can get by his defender anytime
- good ball handler with either hand, can navigate in between 3-4 defenders
- great finisher in traffic with either hand
- excellent motor, goes after every loose ball in his vicinity, doesn't seem to tire even after 40 min
- strong, stands his ground against much bigger players (chubby 6'4 230 types)

Weaknesses:
- small hands, fumbles a lot of bullet passes while cutting
- questionable decision making on fastbreaks resulting in charges and bad passes
- inconsistent shooter
- no confidence, will not shoot wide open shots after 2-3 misses
- unselfish to a fault, guilty of overpassing
- horrible system player, never pays attention to plays
- ZERO post skills

Now
Spoiler:
29yo, 6'0, 180 with 14% bf, 6'0 wingspan, max vert: don't wanna know, probably about 20 :(

Strengths:
- 3pt threat, able to pull up 10 or even 15 ft behind the 3pt line, open threes are like free throws
- good passer, always finds the open man
- good use of fakes in the post
- master of the scoop shot
- good ball handler with either hand, can navigate in between 3-4 defenders
- great free throw shooter
- can still somehow get to the rim and draw fouls at times

Weaknesses:
- slow, constantly gets beat off the dribble, has trouble keeping pace
- barely gets rebounds
- can only block smaller, nonathletic players
- has trouble against quicker opponents
- can only play in 3 min spurts due to ankle problems

I couldn't think of proper comparisons.

Me: 6'2", 223 lbs (185 in my prime)

Strengths: Descent hops, could dunk a vollyball in high school. Good midrange jumper, especially when I'm wide open. Great post game against guys a lot shorter than me. I'm great at using all of my fouls because you can't foul out in a pickup game. Exceptional trash talker but only when my opponent is physically smaller and weaker than me. Better free throw shooter than Lebron James. Hands like Jordan when I'm playing with a kiddie basketball.
I always have home court advantage because I play my neighbors in my own driveway. I never go for pump fakes because my reflexes suck. 5 time all cul de sac. 4 time all playground.

Weaknesses: Great half court player but may require oxygen tank when playing full court. I'm a black hole on offense, if you throw me the rock don't expect to see it again. I'm a great help defender, when my man blows past me I yell "help". Unconscionable shooter, I could be 0-20 but next time I touch the ball it's going up.

6'2 210

strengths: pretty athletic, more of a smooth athleticism than an explosive one (since I fractured my jumping ankle), high IQ and good all-around game, including defense (aided by a 6'7 wingspan). if I had to pride myself on one thing it would be being able to find my teammates for open looks and the willingness to give it them.

weaknesses: defers too much, doesn't play physical and really prefers to play a finesse game. good at most things but not great at any one. my lateral quickness isn't the best so I struggle guarding guys that are quick and have a good enough shot where I can't give them space. my dribble, while adequate, really struggles against ball pressure.

all in all I try to play like LeBron in the size of a body that's closer to wade's. I like to think of myself as a great role player/3rd option type guy though, since i'm not nearly as dominant as either LeBron or wade.

5"9 140 lbs.
Natural position: SG

Strengths: Great lock-down defender. Good rebounder for size. Decent at midrange shots and posting up smaller opposing players (not very many).

Weaknesses: Loves to drive but loses court vision in traffic. Not great at 3s (only attempts corner 3s once in a while). Not great handles.

Comparisons: Tony Allen
