The Bulls front office just wanted to avoid paying the luxury tax for that lackluster team and I don't blame them.

Let's see if the Bulls are serious about blowing it up. Let's go all in - Zeller + picks + Hendo for Noah + Dunleavy
investigate Adam Silver

May not save them, but they are a lot better with him now thats for sure. Would'y be surprised if they pass us up in the standings in the next month or two.

If Bynum gets waived and joins Miami I will piss all over my face...jokes, but seriously Bulls are clearly in tank mode now. They better hope they get a game changer in this years draft, because I can't see Thibs Rose or Noah being too happy about this. Booze will ne amnestied at the end of this season too.

I kinda hope they don't win the lottery just because one of the top prospects is a Chicago native. I don't want to see a repeat of the 2008 draft.

Only if we go on another 5 game losing streak which is possible but I doubt it.

He's probably the next Harden waiting to breakout. Nobody want to miss the train. But I think it's a little too late. The Thunder know what they got now.

Great cost-cutting move by the Bulls to trade Luol Deng for a situation that'll make their future brighter. I was hoping for their sake that they didn't hold onto Deng throughout the season, and they ended up with a better deal for him than I expected, draft picks & cap relief. Next step, amnestying Carlos Boozer!

Excuse my moniker, but is that possible? to use the amnesty provision on a player midseason?

Well that's not even possible, it can only be done during a particular week in the off-season (early July I think).

EDIT: I do see the GB thread though. Someone else mentioned they can't do it but the idea is still being discussed.

I can't picture that happening. That would be the anti-Danny Ferry move.
