The deal is Paul Millsap for Len and the Morris twins.

McDonough would not trade Alex Len for Paul Millsap.

Then what about Plumlee and the twins?

:o
That was like saying, "You don't want to pay me $100, how about $200?"

I already posted that the per 36 stats of Markieff is almost equal to Milsap's and Marcus is right behind that. So we are getting almost double the production out of them than if we added Milsap. Asking for Plumlee, to me, shows you have no idea the value of our players.

Plumlee is probably untouchable unless he's being moved in a deal for an All-Star center or if Alex Len proves he can actually stay healthy.

I'm not sure McDonough would be interested in giving up any assets for Paul Millsap. I don't think he would see him as enough of an upgrade over the Morris Twins.

That because stat-wise, he isn't this season. He is barely better than one twin at three times the price.

Now that's funny. You think Millsap is not enough of an upgrade over the twins but Thad Young is?
They both have same contracts (Thad will opt out after next season IMO) and Millsap is arguably the better player. Millsap is as efficient as a scorer but a much better rebounder and post defender.

Thad is younger than Millsap though and their games are completely different. I wouldn't mind either of them though as they both would improve our team, but I think Young is a better fit. Millsap would give us a better low post option though. Still, I wouldn't trade Len or Plumlee for Millsap though.

The Thad Young discussion was going before that tweet. And I don't think anyone is taking that tweet as gospel or thinking that a deal is imminent.

Show me. I do not see any posts about trading for Thad Young before January 5, 2014, the day of the tweet. Maybe I missed them as I only went back a couple of days.

If we're looking for a three and D guy, I'ld rather keep PJ Tucker on the cheap.

This isnt the same PJ Tucker from last season remember. He's almost automatic from the three in the corner....

It's everywhere else that's the problem. If I have to watch another 1-7 FG half where he bricks 3 or 4 point blank shots I might scream. Love the dude's hustle but he has giant holes in his game.

As he really isn't automatic even from the corner. He's left wide open at times and he still misses. Defenses double Dragic or Bledsoe off him and stay put on the other players and Tucker doesn't make them pay.

Plus he's also maybe the worst finisher in the league. It's painful to see him attempt layups or anything in the paint really.

We're not going to be making major trades involving contributors to our team unless a superstar comes along with it. Don't you guys see how amazing our chemistry is this year? If you think McDonough is as smart as he is, you'd realize there's no way he's going to mess with what's happening right now unless it's clearly worth it.

Millsap? Young? C'mon now.

I cringe every time I hear the suggestion Suns obtain Milsap or Boozer. I go back to the Laker - Jazz series where neither of them could get successful shots off in the lane against Gasol and Bynum. They both have good mid-range games, but both struggle to get shots off near the basket when being defended by longer players. Milsap has extended his shooting range to become a 3 point threat, but in doing so and moving away from the basket, his offensive rebounding has fallen off.

I do not see any fit here.

He's been mentioned several times as a possible target on here for weeks. Sorry you don't remember but he shouldn't have to comb through hundreds of posts because you won't take his word for it. Do it yourself.

The only player that would be of benefit to the Suns for their draft picks is Kevin Love. And unless another team is involved that ain't happening.

I say use our picks to go up in the draft. Trade for that Bucks/Orlando/Utah first rounder during the draft just to secure either Wiggins/Parker so that we can interest other players in free agency. What are we going to do with 4 mid ranged draft picks anyway. Probably only Washington's pick would be of real value to the core of next season.

We're not winning this years playoffs. So move up higher in the draft !

No, it was like me saying, "If you're planning on playing Len at Center, how about trading the other guy to me?" You might remember, I asked for Len, assuming you were going to continue to play Plumlee in front of him.

But if your organization is going to field 2 teams and needs 2 starting Centers, I apologize.

As for your posting of numbers that make the twins being each as good as Millsap, I've already reached my sarcasm limit for the day.

Listen, the question is not Plumlee, he's playing too well. I asked for the guy you're going to have on the bench behind him - the guy many of you are afraid you'll never play - and 2 backups.

I can't figure out if you're being deliberately obtuse or you just don't understand the long term approach required to rebuild a team. Let me spell it out for you. Plumlee is our starting C. He's playing very well. Len is the C of the future, and that future is probably 3 to 4 years down the line. It takes most big men a long time to develop. You need to realize that Plumlee is already 25. He's got 5 years of basketball on Alex Len. So, no, we're not fielding 2 teams and we won't have 2 starting C's. We have one starting Center and one back-up Center that hopefully one day will be a starting Center.

I prefer Gasol over Millsap to be honest. Older, less athletic, and worse on offence.
Even better, I wonder if we can give Chicago a call and ask about Boozer?

Plumlee, the Morris Twins and Okafor should do it.
