Next - play Call of Duty 1! It's a classic game, possesses amazing war feel, so much action with all that Nazis jumping from everywhere. I played Medal of Honor too - it's not even close. Not sure why, but CoD is sooo much better. United Offensive expansion of CoD 1 is great too. CoD 2 is also fun to play, with that revolutionary wound system. Yes, I know it's old, but if you haven't really played it yet, it won't be waste of time, trust me

Happy new year, Horcats! :D

i enjoyed tombraider and loved GTA

I haven't played red dead redemption, but believe its like an ol western version of GTA, so it might be fun.

La Noire is different and I did enjoy it. Not always action packed.

I personally hate 1st person shooters on consoles, I'm used to using a mouse and keyboard so I only play COD/BF4 on the Pc.

Just reading that 134 in Portland's column tonight puts a bad taste in my mouth, but on the plus side, Alabama got destroyed by OK State tonight. Football has been more enjoyable recently.

I put in a thing on the general board to get by strike waived off for telling another poster on there that they had a "nice name" and it was denied.

Ridiculous I swear.

I'm glad I'm banned from there. I don't have to deal with as much over-moderation.

two positives about playing the 49ers
1) there wont be 20,000 opposing fans in the stands
2) they have to travel cross country (on the road for the 2nd week in a row)

Yeah kinda stinks after two close games (both decided by game-winning field goals) we're stuck with our toughest possible opponent. We can obviously beat SF, but man Philly or even Green Bay would've been preferred. But then again it's the playoffs, gotta beat the best anyway.

As most of you know I don't really follow the NFL so I really don't care who wins or loses (although I do like it when the Panthers win for all of your sakes) and while I watch the Superbowl every year I never really have a vested interest.

This year is no different - except that I really, really, really don't want the Seahawks to win.

REALLY don't want them to win.

So I don't care who wins (although, for all of you, I hope the Panthers take the whole thing), just so long as the Seahawks don't win.

Even better, I hope the Seahawks get elimiated from the playoffs as early as possible.

It's been -40 here the past two days.

-40 is the same in C as it is in F.

What do I win?

i dont know how you do it slam. i can barely function as a human when the temp dips below 40 degrees. days like today when its highs in the 20s, i dont even want to leave the building to do anything. i have tons of stuff to do but i refuse to do any of it until it warms a tad.

i saw several mentions yesterday about how today is the coldest day in NC since january 20th 1994, when it was -15 degrees in boone with wind chill between -40 and -50. i was in boone at that time. i remember that day very vividly. people were angry that appalachian didnt cancel classes. i had to walk to class about 20 mins each way and the news was warning people not to be outside for more than a few minutes. later that night i tried to go to the gym and my engine was frozen and wouldnt start until i pour some hot water on it. my door handle froze shut and i had to ride to the gym holding my door closed. so yeah, **** cold weather.

to be serious, we have the warmest winter ever. there was some snow in November, but it's been around 3°C (37.4 °F) for the last two months now. people who like winter are pissed off. I love it since I can't stand cold weather.

usually it does get down to about -15, -20 °C (around 0 °F) in Latvia though. probably will happen in February.

you heard me rant against the US not using metric system, well, here is another example of how egocentric the US is. use Celsius like the rest of the world damnit.

i hate that i was educated and raised on Fahrenheit. i get tired of having to look at F to C converters to understand what people in the rest of the world are talking about.

The same. Except it is not that usual to get -20 °C here, but it happens. More so since the so called global warming. Sometimes it lingers to April which makes me mad.

Last week it made headlines traditional mass cross-country skiing race was canceled due to little to no snow http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worldloppet_Ski_Federation And I'm going out without coat while it lasts, like Lamar said, I bet flowers will bloom and then get frozen when another wave of winter arrives.

I just checked and actually some places here made new high temperature record today/yesterday with 13°C -ish temperatures. Some foehn wind from Alpes effect perhaps.
